Top reviews for The Macallan Rare Cask Batch No. 1 2018 Release:

— This is 2014 Bottling. Lush sherry!! A nuttiness and extra layer of sweetness comes through behind the rich, classic Macallan malt then Nutmeg, Fig, and Orange. Best of the Rare Cask series!

— One of the best Rare Cask ever. I wish I could give it a higher score (like around 9.5 or even 9.7), but alas there is no fractional stars. And a rating of 10/10 is not possible, given there are so many top notch spirits I have yet to taste. The 2018 Rare Cask Batch #1 has so much more flavor and depth compared to its predecessor. What magic did the folks at Erdington perform? If you love Rare Cask before, you will thoroughly love this batch #1.

— Smooth with a bit of a kick in the back of the throat, very warming.
