Joie de vivre from Speyside.

If you’re looking for brilliance based on centuries of knowledge, welcome to the world of Macallan. 200 years under their belt and confidential weapons of mass seduction – not to mention their vas archive of expressions – enables Macallan to create lavish spectacles of joie de vivre.

The Rare Cask line has been around since 2014 and it’s designed for Whisky lovers that want to create a library of rare and unique Spirits. It’s not only entertainment, it’s an investment. The first batch of twenty-eighteen is limited to 50 barrels only and the malt from them is exceptional: complex, rich, and daring. Whisky spent some time in first-fill Sherry-seasoned casks and the mahogany delight will absolutely enchant all your senses.

Ratings & Reviews
Mathew
Mathew,
Pretty good and smooth but not sure it’s worth the money.

Dat
Dat,
One of the best Rare Cask ever. I wish I could give it a higher score (like around 9.5 or even 9.7), but alas there is no fractional stars. And a rating of 10/10 is not possible, given there are so many top notch spirits I have yet to taste. The 2018 Rare Cask Batch #1 has so much more flavor and depth compared to its predecessor. What magic did the folks at Erdington perform? If you love Rare Cask before, you will thoroughly love this batch #1.

Stacey
Stacey,
Smooth with a bit of a kick in the back of the throat, very warming.

Jeremie
Jeremie,
love this scotch , smooth and mature, not too much peat.

David
David,
This is 2014 Bottling. Lush sherry!! A nuttiness and extra layer of sweetness comes through behind the rich, classic Macallan malt then Nutmeg, Fig, and Orange. Best of the Rare Cask series!
