The Ferrari among Whiskies.

Many things are considered a luxury these days, but rare things are. Fads come and go, experiments get and lose our attention, and every week there's a new next best thing. But some things are exceptional no matter the fashion. One of those things is Macallan's Whisky, the shiny and elegant constant. No wonder James Bond likes it.

Macallan Edition No.4, an extremely limited Highland Single Malt from Speyside, is another bull's eye and it's a marvelous commitment to wood. The Edition No.4 was crafted from a combination of European and American oak casks.

Master Distiller Nick Savage did a really savage thing here, in the best possible way. It's a well-balanced dram that shows the best of each cask type. It embodies the craftsmanship and clever design of the new fancy distillery. It's smooth, robust and luxurious and, quite frankly, you deserve it

Scotland is home to more than 20 million casks of maturing Whisky. That’s four for every person living there. Nuts!
Single Malt Scotch Whisky is made in Scotland using a pot still distillation process at a single distillery, with malted barley as the only grain ingredient. It must be matured in oak casks in Scotland for at least three years (most Single Malts are matured longer, though).
Single malt stands for around 10% of the Scotch market. This is a malt containing only one grain, legally required to be barley in Scotland, and made at a single distillery.

A blended Scotch is a combination of different malts from different distilleries. It is typically made from grain Whisky but does include malt Whisky to give it a more complex body.
The Macallan Speyside estate is the only distillery ground in Scotland where you can fish for atlantic salmon. It sits right on the River Spey and from February to September is the perfect location for some salmon fishing.
Macallan is a popular choice among the younger Whisky drinking crowd and they do a lot of marketing activities to keep in touch with them. In 2016, they created a Facebook chatbot that answered questions about the brand and its Whiskies.
Blended Whiskies are the result of years of craftsmanship and dedication. A master blender does not simply wake up one day with a profound ability to create a cohesive and enjoyable liquid. From nosing the liquid to working out quantities of each different grain and malt to go into the blend, a master blender can take years, if not decades, to train.
