Six Macallans, six incredible and sought-after editions, in one spectacular bundle. The first one was a Taiwan and US exclusive, and the second was made by the guys behind the El Celler de Can Roca restaurant. No. 3 was created using the "top nose" of the perfume industry, while the fantastic #4 celebrated the new Macallan distillery. Edition 5 showcases the natural color of Macallan (feat. The Pantone Color Institute), and the final expression is exclusively a Sherried offering. This kind of Macallan extravaganza won’t happen again. Ever.

Can Scotch go bad? Technically, an unopened bottle of Scotch can last forever. Air is the only true evil to Whisky; once the liquid is oxidized it is no longer immortal. After opening, as long as you store your Whisky in a cool, dry place, it will last another 5 years.
90% of all Scotch Whiskies sold are Blends.
90% of all Scotch Whisky released in the market is a blend. That’s a hell of a lot.
It's unknown where the Macallan name comes from, but there are a few possibilities circling around. The most popular one is that it comes from two words in the Gallic language. “Magh” which refers to a fertile piece of ground and “Eilean” which curiously enough means, “of Saint Fillans.” Over time “Magh Eilean” became Anglicised as Macallan.
Beer and malt Whisky seem to have quite a bit in common. Both drinks begin with malted barley, which deliver the enzymes and sugars needed for fermentation when steeped in hot water. The two go their separate ways at the wash stage, where they're fermented or aged to become the adult beverages you know and love.
Scotland is home to more than 20 million casks of maturing Whisky. That’s four for every person living there. Nuts!
