― This is a fantasic bottle of Scotch. Strong flavors and slightly harder hit, but not outrageously so.
― Flavors are pronounced and the higher ABV just makes that happen. On the nose, it’s not an overkill of alcohol, but more of the flavors and scents. I wanted to blend it with a Mac 12 to see what it would do with the higher ABV.
― I actually think the flavor spiral is accurate in this case. This one is powerful. Generally I think Macallan is overrated but the Classic Cuts are very well priced (at $100) considering you get a cask strength full flavored powerhouse of flavor.
