Mat,
Enjoyable cognac and really decent value. Just a touch of harshness, but really lovely flavours, particularly given the price

Michael
Michael,
No comment on the quality of the cognac itself. However, the logo claims heritage to Chartene river in France but the picture shows Burg/Castle Eltz in Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany

Roy
Roy,
I found this one gets more enjoyable as you reach the bottom of the glass. Needs the right amount of water though. I even gave it to my mother who has a somewhat blinkered approach to brandy and cognac, she liked it so that speaks volumes!

Susanna
Susanna,
One of the best cognacs I have ever tasted. This was truly a find.

Richard

Antti,
Louis Royer VSOP is an outstanding, intense VSOP from The Louis Royer House of Cognac is located on the picturesque bank of the Charente River in Jarnac & has been since it was founded in 1853. It opens with notes of port, dried fruits, barley & beer, the palate has notes of plum, fresh baked apple, ripe peaches, orange zest, cinnamon, potpourri, licorice, leather muskiness & tobacco, while the finish long & rich with notes of apricot, rancio & a hint of oak.
