Loopuyt Dry Gin was first developed in 2013. It is a self-proclaimed ‘New Western’ style of Gin which means that rather than having a dominant flavor of juniper, it has a more balanced flavor, with no single dominant botanical.
Produced by P. Loopuyt & Co., Loopuyt Gin is made by individually distilling 12 different botanicals before mixing, this Gin uses only natural botanicals including lavender, nutmeg, raspberries, cardamom, coriander, mulberries and goji berries.

P. Loopuyt & Co. Distillers Schiedam
Loopuyt sounds like a fictional island from Gulliver’s Travels, but it turns out that this is a real place. Loopuyt was a town in Holland, and there was an actual distillery named Loopuyt founded there in 1772. The town changed its name, and the old distillery was closed long ago.

P. Loopuyt & Co was established in 2013 by Jaco van der Leun who started distilling their Loopuyt 1772 Dry Gin—named in honor of the founding of that first distillery in the tiny Dutch town with the odd name.
It is a "New Western Style" Gin. Botanicals include: juniper berries, lavender, grapefruit and orange peel, fresh raspberries, cinchona, nutmeg, cardamom, coriander, Incan berries, mulberries, and goji berries.
