Proud and unique Bourbon
South of Louisville, in the heart of the ""wet"" county of Clermont, there's a legendary establishment you probably know: the Jim Beam distillery. In addition to its original Bourbons, JB also produces four first-class small batch brands, one of which is Knob Creek. It comes in rectangular bottles with a dark, golden-brown color that comes from years of hiding in barrels. It's a pre-prohibition style Whiskey, too, which means there ain't no cutting corners here. The Spirit takes its sweet time to inherit all the flavors from the oak.
This very bottle is special in many ways. First, it's a single barrel, which means each batch is a unique story with unequalled flavors. It's all about the proof (120 for this bad boy), the uneven climate (which brings richness), the char (ah, the vanilla and caramel!) and, naturally, the age. 2018 Hero's Share spent 13 years in its wooden home, which is evident in its full flavor. The second reason this expression is special (and that's where its name comes from) is the fact that it celebrates the brave US veterans.
