— Huge fan, very smooth and light. Sweet honey, vanilla, and apple notes present. Better neat, than with water. I'm new to Irish whiskeys but this is has me excited to try the other styles by this distillery.

— Super smooth, tasty honey-vanilla aroma and is best enjoyed neat in a snifter to capture some coconut and fruit flavors. This whiskey is as good as Ireland is green

Tyler
Tyler,
Twin wood is well named because I really get two provinces of flavors that get married really nicely. The nose has a really rich quality of caramel and cocoa, dark fruits, but also a bit of biting herbaceous astringency. Entry is honey sweet with melon, followed by lemon, grassy, mint, mineral water, black pepper. Then the finish is back to rounded earthier flavors like chocolate and coffee. The best summation of the experience is like a salted dark chocolate and a dried cranberry consumed at the same time. Very enjoyable.

Adrian,
Very enjoyable. light but long-lasting taste

Kurt
Kurt,
Very enjoyable. On the tip of the tongue you get apples and honey. It finishes with a faint spicy toasted note, oak, and more honey. Very smooth and great viscosity.

Michael
Michael,
This is a good Single Malt Irish Whiskey though I prefer the single pot still Irish Whiskeys. Medium body with a sweeter taste than others. I expected (hoped for) a bit more oak flavor to bring a forward balance to my bourbon palate.

Bob
Bob,
The 12 Year old Knappogue was better.

Rex
Rex,
Not bad. Slightly bitter. Aftertaste taste heavy of apricot. I cannot taste the apple which I was looking forward to.

Aaron
Aaron,
Great irish whiskey! No iron-y taste like most irish whiskeys, just smooth and buttery with light fruit notes. Big hit of spice after the initial taste.

Travis
Travis,
My favorite Irish whiskey I have tasted (not a fan usually). It definitely has a sweet kick to it and I got hint of apple/apricot. I wasn’t overly impressed for the price.

Sweet honey on the nose. I also got a little bit of cherry and vanilla. Soft feel. Heavy apricot notes on the palate

Michael,
Unbelievably smooth; even for those familiar with the ‘everyday’ Knappogue, this is a treat to be savored.

Josh
Josh,
Interesting blend of flavors... not at all your avg Irish single malt. Great finish.

Matthew
Matthew,
Delicious, not great on the nose as I can rarely smell much, but the taste is great.

Josh
Josh,
Never have I had a cask finish where I can taste both flavor profiles fighting each other. The pot still vibes and the char overtones of bourbon casks mixed with the syrupy sweet sherry has made this one of my favorite pours.

Matt
Matt,
Smooth and sweet up front, but not much more complex after that.
