Steven,
subpar. tastes as if a barely aged whiskey was watered down by half and then bottled for distribution.
Kev,
Not worth the price. Not bad, but too syrupy with little burn. Thick mouth feel. Maybe aged a bit more would improve it.
Joseph,
tasted better neat. a little overpriced for what it is, but I enjoyed it, overall.
Joseph,
Simply not a fan. I didn’t make it through the first glass.
Rob,
Very sweet and very smooth. I drink on the rocks. I think its great.
Kaleb,
It’s ok, but not even close to worth the price. If you’re going to spend $70 on a bottle, don’t make it this one.
Ryan,
An american whiskey with a hint of the highlands. Smooth robust but easy to drink whiskey with a light smokiness that won't turn away non-scotch drinkers.
John,
Couldn't stand this one. The first one I had to dump out for how horrible it tasted.
Timothy,
For a $70.00 bottle of whiskey it is not that great, the color is beautiful, the bottle is a great edition to my bar, however, the nose smells like it is going to be excellent, then the initial taste smooth butterscotch, with vanilla notes... but the finish is astringent cheap new oak barrel. Not impressed! This will be the last whiskey we will buy from New York.
John,
Love this one!!! It is smooth and well balanced.
James,
An excellent bourbon from Brooklyn NY
guest,
Very warm, spicy, long finish, vanilla
Antti,
It is a good, complex, Straight Bourbon Whiskey that has a bitter birth with hints of smoke, vanilla & caramel; while a bold & spicy life adds notes of vanilla, cinnamon, fruits & butterscotch; that leads to a quick & drying death with hints of apple & chocolate.
Jeff,
Nice and sweet with a hint of smoke up front, but then too heavy on the spice at the end
Todd,
6.5. With a little more age this would be pretty good. Sweet with a little spice.
Matthew,
unremarkable
Stephen,
Good flavor, with a nice finish. The butterscotch is not overwhelming and gives a distinct profile.
John,
Nice and sweet start. I wish the spice wasn’t there I would have really loved it. Wouldn’t characterize it as spicy by any means. But the little bit threw me off.
Zachary,
Nice buttery flavor. Smooth finish.
Angela,
Sweet nose, smooth throughout. Carmel hints and very good overall
Brendan,
Sweet, gentle nose with dark berries coming through, possibly cherries. The butterscotch comes through immediately on tasting, but this resolves quickly. Spice then comes in immediately with the vanilla moving through. The sweet berries stay with you the whole time.
Bourbon is truthfully not my favorite as I usually find it to be too sweet, but this was very enjoyable. I would absolutely consider getting a bottle for my home bar.
Burton,
Very dark for a 2 year bourbon. Traditional bourbon notes on the nose, vanilla and butterscotch, a little cinnamon and chocolate. Something extra.... Some mesquit e wood maybe? The palate follows suit. Nice oily mouth feel. Very nice. Worth a buy.
Mark,
Sweet cinnamon with buttery Carmel flavors.
Jim,
Great color, holiday flavor cinnamon spice and everything nice
Matthew,
Color is a dark copper, with reddish hues. Nose starts with a blend of butterscotch and vanilla. Deeper notes of apple, corn, and malt come through. First sip is less sweet than the nose lets on, but follows the nose flavor profile, with vanilla influenced by malt and butterscotch. Mouthfeel is viscous. Additional notes of faint chocolate and youthful corn are also present. Finish is a short, with a mild cinnamon note. Overall, punches above its young age, but not well enough for its higher priced weight class.
Stefanie,
The apple flavor is the only thing that ruins this for me. Butterscotch is upfront. Makes me miss Coney Island and Jersey Shore part of my childhood. Apple in the middle and cinnamon flavor on the back end. Nice but not my favorite.
