Married with sea.
The art of making Cognac demands four main elements that result in the king of Eau de Vie’s. The first and the main thing is that the grapes come from the Cognac region, otherwise it can’t be named Cognac, second comes the choice of the right grapes, third step is when ageing comes in place, Cognac has to be aged in French oak barrels. The fourth element is the blending, when Master Blender tries to bring out the best qualities of each Cognac and evolve a specific style that is a trademark of their Cognac house. What people of Kelt do different is that they bring in the fifth element! Just before they bottle their Cognac they send it on a 90 days voyage on the sea around the world. The voyage stirs the Cognac up as the change of pressure and temperature and the magic of the sea leave a mark on it. This results in a Eau de Vie that presents itself a lot more mature than it is… Magnifique!!!
Kelt VSOP Cognac is made from Ugni Blanc grapes coming from Grande Champagne cru. Even though it is VSOP and should be at least 4 years old, it is a lot older. A must try for the people who enjoy Cognac and are looking for something different.
