A very fine Vodka, made from sugar cane in Uganda.

Kakira is a town in the Eastern region of Uganda. It’s where the country’s biggest sugar cane factory is located. Kakira Spirits was founded to serve a mission: decrease waste and carbon footprint but also contribute to the production process of their sugar estate that was founded in 1930. All their products are made on the 45,000 acre sugar cane estate that sits right on the shores of Lake Victoria which is the principal source of the River Nile. These guys are incredibly dedicated to the conservation of animal species, the environment, and water. They even created a charitable fund so that a percentage of proceeds of bottle sales can be donated to local charities in Uganda. Plus, their Spirits are of top-notch quality.

Kakira Vodka is created from the purest sugar cane Spirit. The Spirit is made from the finest sugar cane that’s both grown and distilled at the Kakira Sugar Estate, naturally. It undergoes multiple chilled charcoal filtrations to achieve an extraordinary smooth taste and flawless finish. Savor this unique African Vodka neat, on the rocks, or use it in your favorite cocktail.

Flavor Spiral TM
About the Flavor Spiral
What does Kakira Vodka taste like?

The Flavor Spiral™ shows the most common flavors that you'll taste in Kakira Vodka and gives you a chance to have a taste of it before actually tasting it.

We invented Flavor Spiral™ here at Flaviar to get all your senses involved in tasting drinks and, frankly, because we think that classic tasting notes are boring.

Vodka can be made anywhere in the world and pretty much of any ingredient that contains starch.

For a potato-based Vodka, 12kg (26.5lbs) potatoes are needed to produce a single bottle.
The average life of a $50 bill in circulation is 55 months before it is replaced due to wear.
Seems that Vodka is a lightweight—quite literally. This clear Spirit actually weighs less than water. One liter of water weighs 1,000 grams, while the same amount of Vodka only clocks in at 953 grams.
You won't impress the bartender by ordering Vodka-soda, but it's a good choice if you want to avoid unecessary sugar intake and make sure you stay hydrated when consuming alcohol.
Unlike its boozy brethren Bourbon and Scotch, Vodka can be made anywhere in the world. But it’s Eastern Europe that gets the credit for its birth. Just don’t ask Russia and Poland to get to the bottom of it—both argue that they masterminded the Spirit first.
It looks like potato chips and flavored Vodka are two things where the producers unleash their imagination. Bubble gum, fresh cut grass, pumpkin pie, marshmallow, and coconut water hardly begin to describe the many flavors of Vodka.
