A delicious fortified apple Liqueur that’s like having your pie and drinking it too.

Three Oaks, Michigan is a small town of about fifteen-hundred at the southwestern-most tip of the state. If it were a mile or two further south it would be in Indiana. Journeyman Distillery is located there and bills itself as a working-man’s shop. The building was a buggy whip and corset manufacturer back in the 1800s, and it is this history that influences the names of their twenty-two products — from Featherbone Bourbon to Buggy Whip Wheat and beyond.

At Journeyman Distillery, “OCG” stand for “Old Country Goodness.” OCG Apple Cider Liqueur is not your tradition liqueur. It’s a blend of un-aged Rye Whiskey, organic apple cider, organic apple juices, and traditional baking spices. But it’s bottled at 10% ABV, so it has the alcohol strength of a summer Wine and has the flavor profile of an all American apple pie. Pour it neat, serve it hot, serve it cold, or mix it in cocktails. There simply isn’t a bad way to apply this nectar of apply-goodness. And the experts agree — taking 91 points from tastings.com and winning a gold medal as Best of Category at the Los Angeles World Spirits Competition.
