A contemporary Old School Whiskey.

Journeyman Distillery is located in a 19th century corset and buggy whip factory in Three Oaks, Michigan. EK Warren a hardcore prohibitionist in his time founded the company back in 1883 and the building where bottles are distilled, aged and bottled all under one roof hasn’t changed much. At Journeyman they focus on distilling handcrafted, organic spirits, from Gin, Vodka to all kinds of Whiskeys. As they are located on the northern edge of grain-fed American heartland it is no wonder that Whiskey from all kinds of grain is their largest product category.

Corsets, Whips & Whiskey is a single-grain, cask strength 100% Wheat Whiskey that comes directly from barrel-to-bottle. Named after all the products produced at the historic Featherbone factory building in Three Oaks, MI throughout time; this whiskey as true tribute to American manufacturing. This limited release whiskey showcases the high quality and terroir of the organic Michigan wheat used to produce it. The 100% wheat provides a soft sweetness and smoothness to this whiskey, while the cask strength proof reminds you this isn’t a whiskey to toil with!

John
John,
Great first taste smells sweet. It’s a smooth drink.

Donald
Donald,
Spicy and harsh.

Luis
Luis,
What a delightful surprise! A deceptively complex treat for the senses - at once sweet and spicy, it has a thick draw like caramel. One that will demand your attention.

Kyle
Kyle,
I tried this straight and with water. Straight was nice spice was a little harsh but mellows out fairly quick to give you a nice taste of the other flavors. Drinking with water is the way to go very enjoyable when the harshness is toned down just a bit

Sara
Sara,
This has a great taste to it. I am tempted to heat this one up and give it a try.

Donald
Donald,
I like the grain finish and the heat as it travels down your throat

Richard

Scott

Ohh the burning

Jeff
Jeff,
A super smooth whiskey for the proof and packs a lot of flavor into it. Definitely reminds me of an Irish whiskey but with more of a punch. Dry finish but really very well done.

Victor
Victor,
This is a fairly good whiskey. The nose is mostly honey and tobacco with sweet overtones and the mixture of Caramel, tobacco, and cinnamon give this whiskey a tang that is unique in my opinion. The finish is relatively short compared to other whiskeys I’ve enjoyed and is controlled by sweet spicy cinnamon.

Ivan
Ivan,
Tasted lots of tobacco with some caramel, finishes very spicy. Needed some ice cubes to help bring out some flavor.

Matt
Matt,
Interesting flavors, but in the end I couldn’t decide if they were good or just ok.

Brett
Brett,
A lot of cedar tones in the spice realm, very woody. Surprising multiple notes in this one. Long and clean on the backside as the spiciness drifts away.

James
James,
Sweet start, mildly spicy, medium finish, very enjoyable

Chris
Chris,
Aroma is a honey, brown sugar and maple vibe...smells delicious. Amber look with slow dripping spider legs. Nice and spicy, had a wood flavor to it as if it was barreled for some time. Definitely caramel taste to it, but the spice unfortunately takes away from any other flavor.

Michael
Michael,
Surprising blend of rye that tastes like

Justin
Justin,
Very strong initial flavor of caramel and then becomes spicy. Great overall flavor.

Daniel
Daniel,
Would use this as mixer

Michael
Michael,
Not the best whiskey available - the tobacco and spice overwhelm the traces of honey and cinnamon - what flavor you get on the front end is eliminated by the burn on the back. Perhaps good in a cocktail, this is not my first or second choice for an american whiskey.

JUSTIN
JUSTIN,
Very strong by itself. But great mixed.
