This is punk rock. Alcohol slaps you both on the nose and tongue. There's tobacco and paint thinner on the nose. Honey, vanilla and spice on the palate, along with some raw alcohol that lingers in the finish. Mouth feels a bit numb after. It's a fun variation but not something I'll necessarily will come back to very often.
This baby burns but strong caramels🥲
Not my cup of tea. Feels lite either you love it or hate it
Strong, complex, with a sweet finish. The taste I found to be quite unique, it bares some similarities to Pappy Van Winkle in my humble opinion.
Tobacco and honey on the nose, overwhelmingly strong and spicy on the palate, lacking some complexity in my opinion, long finish with some unpleasant bitter notes. Not bad but there are more enjoyable options at this price-point.
Strong, bold, complex with minimal sweetness, long, satisfying finish. Very drinkable despite the high alcohol content.
Very nice with a great sweet finish
It is an outstanding, balanced, organic, cask strength, 100% American Wheat Whiskey that has an aromatic birth; while an elegant & oily life leads to a balanced death of medium length.
Bought this without any prior knowledge. Loved it. Strong but drinkable and I’m really enjoying it and hoping I’ll get another one down the road
Very unique literally chili pepper note and very oil mouthfeel. Don’t know how often I would want a dram but definitely worth a try.
Hmmm. Mixed feelings.
Flavour? Big love. Big success. Caramel. Toffee. Vanilla. Spice. Bread. Pepper. Wood. A gorgeous ensemble of distinct yet integrated tastes. Powerful. Intense.
The bad. That alcohol. Wow. On the nose, the first reaction was of cleared sinuses. Then in the mouth, the burn numbed my taste buds and left a raw, stripped feeling at the back of my throat. Yet the flavours still rolled around my mouth. And this was with water.
I'm afraid 58.5 is beyond my tolerance. I would love to retain what I enjoyed at a lower abv but as it is, I won't be buying a full bottle however I am glad to have sampled this.
Approach with caution!
Very good! First wheat whiskey I've tried. Spicy but still smooth! Highly recommend
Spicy but honey sweet at the same time. Nice heavy mouth feel and high ABV leaves a nice burn. Very smooth overall.
It's semi-sweet. Pretty good overall, and I would have it again.
No thank you.
Very well pleased with this wheat. A little spice and caramel flavors.
You feel the kick but with a spicy sweetness.
It’s potent...so get ready for a bite. It definitely tastes like it’s a 120 proof...that being said. The flavor profile is grainy, spicy, and you may be able to make out the honey. It’s good if you can make it past how strong it is...
Hard bite if drinking neat.
Great first taste smells sweet. It’s a smooth drink.
Spicy and harsh.
What a delightful surprise! A deceptively complex treat for the senses - at once sweet and spicy, it has a thick draw like caramel. One that will demand your attention.
I tried this straight and with water. Straight was nice spice was a little harsh but mellows out fairly quick to give you a nice taste of the other flavors. Drinking with water is the way to go very enjoyable when the harshness is toned down just a bit
This has a great taste to it. I am tempted to heat this one up and give it a try.
I like the grain finish and the heat as it travels down your throat
Ohh the burning
A super smooth whiskey for the proof and packs a lot of flavor into it. Definitely reminds me of an Irish whiskey but with more of a punch. Dry finish but really very well done.
This is a fairly good whiskey. The nose is mostly honey and tobacco with sweet overtones and the mixture of Caramel, tobacco, and cinnamon give this whiskey a tang that is unique in my opinion. The finish is relatively short compared to other whiskeys I’ve enjoyed and is controlled by sweet spicy cinnamon.
Tasted lots of tobacco with some caramel, finishes very spicy. Needed some ice cubes to help bring out some flavor.
Interesting flavors, but in the end I couldn’t decide if they were good or just ok.
A lot of cedar tones in the spice realm, very woody. Surprising multiple notes in this one. Long and clean on the backside as the spiciness drifts away.
Sweet start, mildly spicy, medium finish, very enjoyable
Aroma is a honey, brown sugar and maple vibe...smells delicious. Amber look with slow dripping spider legs. Nice and spicy, had a wood flavor to it as if it was barreled for some time. Definitely caramel taste to it, but the spice unfortunately takes away from any other flavor.
Surprising blend of rye that tastes like
Very strong initial flavor of caramel and then becomes spicy. Great overall flavor.
Would use this as mixer
Not the best whiskey available - the tobacco and spice overwhelm the traces of honey and cinnamon - what flavor you get on the front end is eliminated by the burn on the back. Perhaps good in a cocktail, this is not my first or second choice for an american whiskey.
