Not very nice alcoholic smell with discrete notes of red wine and notes of oak barrel. Alcoholic taste with notes of corn, spice and barrel. Sweet and spice finish. It's better with mixers, I think sour mixers.
I’m assuming this is the blue label, Jim Beam Double Oak. Really nice nose and flavor. A little short on the finish and mouth feel. Overall though, would definitely recommend.
Cheap cost but flavorful. Pretty good Bourbon if you want to get DRUNK!!! I have not found a high class American Bourbon worth stating a big fat multi-star rating!
Really affordable at my local store, this is my base level go to for bourbon and ginger. Smooth, easy, half and half with ginger over ice makes for an easy ending to a weeknight.
Certainly an inoffensive bourbon, and one that would be fine as the base in a whiskey cocktail. But nothing stands out. Corn and molasses on the nose, pretty neutral sweetness and little burn on the way down. This is for guests that aren't picky or to spike a punch, not much else.
The white label..no more to say Nose-corn peanut brittle Beam spice vanilla orange peel
Palate-similar to the nose pronounced corn citrus Finish-long watery oak more corn
Overall..will not blow you away but the fact that Beam trademarked these flavors makes this whiskey special 8.0/10
First off: this is not a whiskey. It's a strong, sweet cherry liqueur combined with whiskey. I understand the negative reviews on here because that certainly isn't to everyone's tastes. But I have to say that, with a few ice cubes (or a dash of water), I find this utterly delicious. It's one of those drinks where you catch yourself sniffing your empty glass afterwards because the strong cherry flavour just captivates your nostrils. My girlfriend normally hates anything whiskey-related but even she has fallen in love with this drink and it has quickly become a favourite in our house.
