The Flavor Spiral™ shows the most common flavors that you'll taste in Jim Beam Devils Cut and gives you a chance to have a taste of it before actually tasting it.
We invented Flavor Spiral™ here at Flaviar to get all your senses involved in tasting drinks and, frankly, because we think that classic tasting notes are boring.
Potent strong oak with no hint of alcohol. I like it but it may be too strong for some.
Jonathan,
Woody palate, but not necessarily oaky. Warm vanilla and lingering pepper on the finish, but has a surprisingly short tail and is somewhat drying.
As bourbon ages, a portion of the liquid is lost from the barrel due to evaporation—that's the "Angel's Share." After aging, when the bourbon is dumped out of the barrel, a certain amount of whiskey is left trapped within the wood of every barrel. That is called the "devil's cut." To create Jim Beam Devil's Cut, Jim Beam developed a proprietary process that actually pulls the rich whiskey trapped inside the barrels' wood after they're emptied. They hold the barrel-treated extract until it develops the proper balance of bourbon notes, then blend it with extra-aged bourbon and bottle at 90 proof.
Paul,
Not something that I will look to buy again. Not sure what it is but not something I enjoy.

Good sipper for $22

Strong charred flavor but nice hits of cinnamon, oak andcaramel

Love it when I can find it, very smooth and great for after work.
Christina,
Love it. Deep wood flavor, caramel notes. Smooth
Jason,
The Devil's Cut has spicy notes and is a bit more harsh than Jim Beam White Label. However, I love this because it's a nice fit in between Scotch and Bourbon and has a wonderful character, you may want to cut it some with ice or water.
Michael,
Nose has vanilla and caramel. Flavors have forward notes of vanilla, brown sugar, and a touch of leather leading into a huge oak-y follow into a medium finish dominated by spice and woody dryness. Not an every day drinker for me (that wood is a tad overbearing) but an interesting sip nonetheless, worth a try.
Steven,
Solid bourbon.
Aaron,
Interesting flavor profile and great alcohol content!
Denis,
Крепкий. Много дуба и орехов. Послевкусие короткое.
