No Fool’s Gold.

Although established by a Scotsman in 1790, Jameson was originally one of the six main Dublin Whiskeys in the flourishing Irish capital at the turn of the century. The best selling Irish Whiskey in the world is now distilled in Midleton (single-d, no relation to Kate, Duchess of Cambridge) distilleries, Cork. It is typically produced from a signature blend of grain Whiskey, single malt, and single pot still Whiskey – a mixture of malted and unmalted, locally sourced Irish barley, and has a long-standing international reputation. It’s been sold across the world since the early 19th century and its an enormous fan-base ranges from actual pub-goers to fictional ones, like the determined, loose-cannon detective Jimmy McNulty of the cult series The Wire.

Called "sumptuous" by Jim Murray in his 2008 Whisky Bible, the smooth, malty Jameson Gold Reserve is a triple distilled blend of pot still and grain Whiskeys, matured in a selection of Grade A casks (virgin oak barrels, then ex-bourbon barrels, and finished in Sherry casks) – handpicked by the distillery’s Master Blender.

This Whiskey is not your standard frat-party mixing drink, but despite being richer and heavier than the regular Jameson blend, it’s pleasant and accessible without sacrificing any intensity.

About The Flavour Spiral

What does Jameson Gold Reserve taste like?

The Flavour Spiral™ shows the most common flavours that you'll taste in Jameson Gold Reserve and gives you a chance to have a taste of it before actually tasting it.

We invented Flavour Spiral™ here at Flaviar to get all your senses involved in tasting drinks and, frankly, because we think that classic tasting notes are boring.
