A top-selling bottling from the Jack Daniel distillery, the mashbill is made up of 80% corn, 12% rye and 8% malt. The spirit is filtered through 10 feet of sugar maple charcoal to produce a mellow, slightly smoky character, thus making it Tennessee whiskey...
Member Reviews and Ratings of Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey
Was my first. Introduced me to my passion for good whiskey and bourbon. Will always be a go to
great taste. The charcoal filtering filters out any impurities creating a great whiskey. Love the tastes notes from the new white oak barrels.
This is my go to everyday wishkey. Maybe because it was my first or because every bar has it.
just a good overall whiskey
For the price, you could get 2 bottles of a bottle with a better overall flavor.
As basic as it gets, but not bad. Has some bite.
It's Jack Daniel's. what more do you need?
Not my favorite. I keep it around so I dont have to serve my quality whiskey to people that cant tell the difference
Some are better, some are worse. But, this is where all comparisons start.
Mild flavor. Sweet with caramel and honey. Smoky notes. Hints of oak.
I generally don't sip Jack. I use it Jack and Gingers or use it to make Old Fashions/Manhattan's.
This is my drink over rocks with a splash of water hold the ice hold the water
Love it. Tastes of oak
Worst of all
Nice drink for everyday
Sour and not particularly enjoyable (I know it's a sour mash).
If you enjoy vomit- this is the whiskey for you!!
Classic sour mash. Military loved, as with me a veteran of 3+ wars, I can always come back to my roots of whisky with no e in it. Great have and always will love no. 7. American dream.
Not a fan
Jack and Coke.
It is what it is. Always dependable
For the price this is a decent whiskey but nothing characteristic to it
For this money I will always prefer a young and cheap SM or better: spend € 5-10 more and you'll get a real 10-12 yrs SM like Glenmorangie, Laphroaig or Old Pulteney in (sale).
Sometimes "The Old" things in life, especially those unchanged and unwavering remain The Best things in life. This is true with "The Old No. 7"
Met 1 ijsblokje komt hij los
Good and fine
good old stand by that you won't feel guilt adding to a mixture.
Good staple to have in the house. Typically puts guests at ease to see it in the repertoire.
After having better whiskeys jack will disappoint but I still enjoy it for jack and cokes. If you want a good whiskey to drink straight this isn't it
Has no depth of flavor. Just plain don't like it.
Posted rating kinda low. This was the first whiskey I ever consumed and being so I didn't treat it with respect so it hurt me. For two days it hurt me and the thin air on top of the Rocky Mountains didn't help this flat lander much either...., needless to say I was young. That was 36 years ago.
Under different circumstances in life this whiskey does have flavor and aroma that could be pleasing but one whiff still brings the wild urps near.
If it's good enough for Frank Sinatra, it's good enough to me!
What can I say...Jack is king!
Jack. The de facto standard of Tennessee whiskey and a true staple of Americana.
I always keep a bottle in my cabinet at all times.
"Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication."
Meh not that big of a fan of jack
Great whiskey. Not a complex dram, but by no means a discredit to the taste and quality. A true favorite.
Easy on the mouth
Sweet, caramelly, but smoky as well. Always keep a bottle of Jack's in the collection!
I always find myself returning.
75th Ranger Favorite!
I love how smooth this is. It leaves a nice aftertaste in your mouth.
Voor in de mix
Good whiskey. Pure goes well. Unobtrusive. Good gift. On every day.
Good solid tasting whisky; the kind that you chug in parties with friends. Combination with Coke is legendary.
Nice neat or mixed. Great go to Tennessee whisky, it's JD. Do I need to say more?!
