I love port finished bourbons. 1792 port was my all time favorite but this is really tasty too.

Jason,
I wanted to like this one but I just don't. I prefer Angel's envy to it and will pay slightly more for it.

Kris
Kris,
Beautiful color and sugary on the nose and a very cool vanilla/nutty finish.

Stephen,
This review has an asterisk since its a neck poor but it tastes like bad cherry cough syrup to me which is a turnoff. Will revisit when it has some time to open up

Dennis
Dennis,
This is my dessert bourbon, my special treat at the end of the week (or at the end of a long day) when my regular "house bourbons" seem just a bit too ordinary. I am so exploring the the rum and port finished whiskeys. Here, I found an affordable favorite. I love it.

Michael
Michael,
I had high expectations for this port finished bourbon. The nose was very nice but the taste and especially the finish was a bit raw. Was expecting it to be smoother and sweeter due to the port barrel finishing. Others have indicated that an ice cube will tame it. Although I'm primarily a neat drinker, I'll have to give it a try.

William
William,
Good brand and nice people at Bowman.

William
William,
Good nose, and good flavor. 80 proof just right. Another Buffalo Trace winner.

Clayton
Clayton,
I wish I liked it more than I do; this is my first port finish, and I know finished barrels are all the rage, but the bite isn’t as clear here, and I prefer the oaky corn you get from a traditional bourbon. Too rich and too sweet for my blood, but I know why it’s appreciated.

Chad
Chad,
I'm becoming a big fan of port and wine barrel finished whiskey!

Now it 62.99! Which is a bummer because I'd love to try!

guest,
Love it. Price is fantastic, dram is solid, love the pralines on the palate. Go get some!

Mark
Mark,
Complex and spicey with deep levels of flavor. Bites just a bit on the finish but enjoying on the rocks nullifies this.
