This small batch Single Malt from Ireland will transform you into a proud Irishman, no blarney!

The Irishman line of Whiskies comes from the upstarts at Walsh Whiskey who set out to rediscover Irish-style Whiskey as it was made 200 years ago. When Welsh Whiskey first started, they contracted their distilling to Bushmills. But their success has allowed them to build out their own distillery in Carlow — in the heart of Ireland’s southern farm country — where they make five versions of The Irishman Whiskies, three Writer’s Tears blends, and two varieties of Irish Cream Liqueur.

We’re lucky enough to live in an age when we can have a dram of fine Single Malt Whiskey that’s as Irish as a leprechaun AND as tasty as a Highlander. The Irishman Small Batch Single Malt Whiskey is a triple-distilled Celtic wonder that’s aged to perfection in both ex-Bourbon and ex-Sherry casks. And this golden Spirit actually comes with a pot of gold — as in a pot full of gold and double gold medals from just about every competition that you can think of. So if your idea of a good time doesn’t include drinking a pint of dark foamy ale served at room temperature, you now have a way to get your Irish on without sacrificing your Single Malt habit.

Irish Whiskey became the most renowned Whiskey and most popular Spirit in the 19th century after the outbreak of phylloxera and the total devastation of Cognac production in France.
Poteen is a Whiskey made from potatoes, or in other words: it's Irish Vodka.
Irish Whiskey has many varieties: grain Whiskey, malted barley pot-still-distilled, and ‘pure pot-still’ (or ‘single pot still’ as it is now officially known). Then there is Poitin, one of the first Spirits ever made.
It is said that when Irish writers suffered from ‘Writer's Block’ and that when they cried they cried tears of Whiskey. Most, if not all of them, sought comfort and inspiration from “The Water of Life” (Whiskey). The relaxing characteristics of Whiskey helped many of them overcome writer’s block and produce inspired works of poetry, prose and plays. Writer’s Tears, is a salute to these great Irish writers.
Irishman signature blend was created by Bernard Walsh, in 1999.
Whiskey producers lose on average about 2% of their stock a year to angels' share. For Jameson, the biggest one of the Irish Whiskey brands, it means 29 thousand bottles going into the air (literally) every day!
