This small batch single malt from Ireland will transform you into a proud Irishman, no blarney!

The Irishman line of Whiskies comes from the upstarts at Walsh Whiskey who set out to rediscover Irish-style Whiskey as it was made 200 years ago. When Welsh Whiskey first started, they contracted their distilling to Bushmills. But their success has allowed them to build out their own distillery in Carlow — in the heart of Ireland’s southern farm country — where they make five versions of The Irishman Whiskies, three Writer’s Tears blends, and two varieties of Irish Cream Liqueur.

We’re lucky enough to live in an age when we can have a dram of fine single malt Whiskey that’s as Irish as a leprechaun AND as tasty as a Highlander. The Irishman Small Batch Single Malt Whiskey is a triple-distilled Celtic wonder that’s aged to perfection in both ex-Bourbon and ex-Sherry casks. And this golden spirit actually comes with a pot of gold — as in a pot full of gold and double gold medals from just about every competition that you can think of. So if your idea of a good time doesn’t include drinking a pint of dark foamy ale served at room temperature, you now have a way to get your Irish on without sacrificing your single malt habit.

What does The Irishman Single Malt taste like?

The Flavour Spiral™ shows the most common flavours that you'll taste in The Irishman Single Malt and gives you a chance to have a taste of it before actually tasting it.

We invented Flavour Spiral™ here at Flaviar to get all your senses involved in tasting drinks and, frankly, because we think that classic tasting notes are boring.

There are many Irish Whiskey varieties: grain Whiskey, malted barley pot-still-distilled, and ‘pure pot-still’ or ‘single pot still’ as it is now officially known. Then there is Poitin, one of the first spirits ever made.

Ratings & Reviews
Devin
Devin,
Pale amber color, with thin and medium slow tears. The nose has notes of caramel and chocolate with strawberries and lemon zest. The taste is sweet and chocolaty up front, with toasted grains. The mouth feel is crisp and clean, with a smooth and medium long finish with hints of wood tannins. This is a simple but classic Irish Whiskey. Smooth and well crafted.

Lauren,
Disappointed, based on other reviews thought I would give it a try. While somewhat smooth no real depth of flavor. Would not recommend for the price.
