The House of Suntory beckons you to find peace and harmony again. Their recommended technique? Mindful nosing and sipping of their latest offering, the limited-edition 2021 Hibiki Japanese Harmony Whiskey.

Since its initial debut in1989, the Hibiki has always echoed the brand's affinity for harmony, but this year's release goes a step further both in flavor and design. The signature 24-facet bottle now embellished with varying seasonal flowers and ribbons of water (a nod to the Ryisui-Hyakka or "One Hundred Flowers and Flowing Water"), signifies the 24 hours of a day and 24 seasons of a year in the traditional Japanese lunar calendar. It strives to unify the mindful sipper with nature as seasons shift with the flow of water dictating the passage of time.

The Whisky notes themselves activate the sipper's harmony from within with aromas of rose, lychee, rosemary, and sandalwood and tastes of honey, orange peel, and white chocolate with a finishing flavor of Japanese oak.

Bottled at 86 proof (43% ABV), this one will undoubtedly help you relax and find balance with every sip.

Japanese Single Malts, like Scotch, are double-distilled in pot stills. Grain Whiskies, on the other hand, are distilled in column stills.
The Highball brought Japanese Whisky back to life. Aside from some attention from overseas, Japanese Whisky consumption domestically was very low during the better part of the early 2000s. It wasn’t until 2008, when Suntory launched the Highball campaign featuring their Kakubin Whisky that things kicked off.
In recent years, Japanese Whiskies have won several top prizes at the World Whisky Awards and have consistently scored higher than Scotch Whiskies in blind tastings. Talk about a student surpassing the master!
The two biggest Whisky producers in Japan and major rivals are Nikka and Suntory.
It's not uncommon for Japanese Whisky to be aged in mizunara (Japanese oak) casks. Suntory conducted a research on how mizunara oak influences Whisky flavor and found out it adds coconut notes to it.
