Paul,
The whiskey was just OK . I probably wouldn't buy it with so many others out there that I enjoy more.....

Amber
Amber,
It’s okay as a Bourbon, interesting background story about this distillery

Frank
Frank,
I did like this whiskey. I will have try it again to describe the taste. It's been a few weeks. Definitely worth trying.

Bryan
Bryan,
Definitely NOT in my opinion a true bourbon. Has a definite "bite" at the beginning that drowns out the initial flavors. Eventually some cinnamon and oak survived to the finish. Not like any other bourbon I've ever tried, more like a TN whiskey. Reminded me of Gent Jack.

Josh
Josh,
Good.

Capriana
Capriana,
Originally love the flavors and how smooth it was. Had it again a week later and the taste of cinnamon was overwhelming.

Timothy
Timothy,
Excellent flavors. Not the biggest bourbon fan but this one had caught my eye when I saw the flavor palette. Worth picking up if you’re looking for something new.

Louis

I like it

Joy
Joy,
Saw some bad ratings on this. But I rather enjoy it. Maybe tastes a bit 'thicker' then some.

Richard
Richard,
This is a pleasant surprise. I'm nowhere near a bourbon expert but I've had $80 bourbons that were worse than this one. It's smooth with wonderful oak and honey that last a long time. Very nice!

David
David,
Not good at all.

Jason
Jason,
This was ok. Not as good as I had hoped it would be

Michael
Michael,
I'm just a guy who knows what he likes. I don't have the lingo down, and I'm certainly not any type of aficionado. But with Hirsch, I definitely know I tasted caramel and oak in this delicious drink. It was heaven in a glass. I highly recommend it, neat or on the rocks. I even used it to make an Old Fashioned, and it was delectable. Best one I've made yet, definitely due to the flavors added from this bourbon. Will be purchasing again.

Ralph
Ralph,
I enjoyed my first bottle from Flaviar. The nose creates a solid and impressive opening. The flavor profile is very much like the chart. I enjoyed the overall experience, but I was hoping for a more pronounced flavor a the finish such as with Evan Williams Single Barrel or Makers Mark Cast Strength. The finish was decent, but more like a good Scotch, than a good Bourbon. I expect the Distiller will make some positive changes with future recipes. Looking forward to my next selection.

Christopher
Christopher,
This is awesome great bourbon period but for sure great at its price point

Peter
Peter,
Not much of a fan. Had a Scotch "bite" at the end to it. However, my whisky and cigar buddies (bunch of old timers) enjoyed it. I left them the bottle.

Micah
Micah,
Pleasantly surprised with the full flavor. Didn’t get the warmth until swallowed. Good stuff overall.

Casey
Casey,
Sweet, smooth, delicious. Tastes like a Carmel cookie soaked in booze. Will definitely keep in my bar for a sweet treat after dinner.

Jacob
Jacob,
Smooth rye flavor with a great finish

Peter
Peter,
Not a huge fan as it had a bit of a Scotch taste that was not to my liking. On the other hand, my cigar group really enjoyed it.

Greg
Greg,
Very enjoyable profile. I’m no expert but to me it hits with a nice rye bite followed by some honey, bread mellowness. A nice sipper on the rocks.

Forrest
Forrest,
Reminds me a lot of Buffalo Trace. Slightly better. A little smoother. A little more vanilla. $10 better? Debatable.

Mark
Mark,
Pretty good. Tried it neat. Being a blend you get a complex combination of flavors. Initial sour mash + rye spice is short lived, long after tastes of vanilla. Will try it on the rocks, but thinking this may be best suited as a mixer. Worth trying.

Phil
Phil,
I was drawn to the design and a bit worry that it would just be a nice bottle. The dram matched to the expectation with a blended 5.4 yr and 6.2 yr on a 94% and 6% perspectively. Younger barrel has a higher corn 75% and older barrel has a bit hight rye 36%. This blend has a pleasant honeyed apple and brown sugar on the nose. On the palate a rich honey and balanced sweetness. Finish with a spice note like winter holiday....... This is a pleasant bottle. It does not break your bank and highly enjoyable.

William
William,
Really like this for pennies. Nose was too much alcohol but the taste was carmel with a touch of spice. Highly recommend for the price

Absolutely top notch and true to the flavors within the chart...

Brian
Brian,
This is a new favorite for me.

Matt
Matt,
Such a well-rounded pour. My first thought was that it must have been balanced by an algorithm or something! Right down the middle. But not in a boring way.

Tyler
Tyler,
Very pleased with this purchase. High corn on the nose from the mash bill(s) but the taste, mouth feel and finish are great.

Greg
Greg,
Very smooth

STEVE
STEVE,
Love, love, love this new discovery that I found offered on Flaviar. quintessential creamy smooth, flavor-full old-style bourbon, somewhat similar to Wathen's, but more rounded and mellow.

KEVIN
KEVIN,
Very intriguing. I will need to drink more than this (dram) for a better impression. Smooth and well blended. Bottle is pretty cool. Glad i got this one. *first review?
