The second release in the Magnus series from Highland Park, this will sell out before we even finish writing this sentence. It was created to celebrate Saint Magnus, who was described in the Orkenyinga Saga (no idea either) as "a man of extraordinary distinction, tall, with a fine, intelligent look about him." It goes on this way, with numerous further compliments. We reckon he was writing about himself. Sadly, Saint Magnus was murdered by his treacherous cousin, Haakon.

Hobbister Moor is a landmark in Scotland famous for its peat. Because there are no trees on the land to blend in the peat, it has a slightly lighter aroma.
Beer and malt Whisky seem to have quite a bit in common. Both drinks begin with malted barley, which deliver the enzymes and sugars needed for fermentation when steeped in hot water. The two go their separate ways at the wash stage, where they're fermented or aged to become the adult beverages you know and love.
First-class Whiskies are taxed not only by the state but also by the angels. This refers to the 4% of Whisky that evaporates from the barrels every year, a phenomenon known as the angel’s share.
Can Scotch go bad? Technically, an unopened bottle of Scotch can last forever. Air is the only true evil to Whisky; once the liquid is oxidized it is no longer immortal. After opening, as long as you store your Whisky in a cool, dry place, it will last another 5 years.
