Charles
Charles,
I good NAS not quite sherry bomb, I would like to replace it, only it is very expensive so probably won't.

guest,
Metallic start quickly turns to savory and floral finish. Darker and awaking aftertaste

Russ
Russ,
A decent dram. Has a slight Peat/Smoke note on the finish. A nice smooth whisky, the slight hint of smoke on the finish may be a stepping stone to Islay whiskies as one developes a taste for that style.

Michael
Michael,
Nose has lovely cocoa, ripe banana, raisins, and spices (cinnamon, nutmeg.) Flavors lead in with dark berries, chocolate, and toasted nuts, leading into a medium-long finish with firm but not overbearing peat and spice. A tiny dash of water reveals more fruit notes up front and mutes the smoke and cocoa a bit (very drink-able with or without water, though. Personally I like it best without water after a good few minutes in the glass.) A wonderfully balanced Scotch Whisky overall, almost like a hybrid between a Speyside/Highland and an Islay in how it balances its Sherry barrel notes with its peat... a shame this one has been discontinued.

Thomas
Thomas,
I quit drinking from 25 to 50 but, if I'd have run into this in my youth, I probably wouldn't have quit. Well balanced, smooth with a little sweetness .... and a bite.

Lauren
Lauren,
Great. Sherry bomb.

Martin
Martin,
For a whiskey it is seldomly smooth and sweet, taking it to a level where one wouldn't even recognize it as whiskey. Really interesting, sip & enjoy

Very nice, but actually prefer the 15 more.

Bill
Bill,
Disappointing. The spice notes are pronounced, but I don't think that they're very well balanced. Actually poured out the rest of the first glass after a few sips. It's a pity that Flaviar can't offer tasting samples of all their offerings. Both bottles I just bought (this one and Quiet Man) were both a disappointment. I feel like I've wasted my money.

Chris
Chris,
Well balanced dram between Highland and Islay flavors, what HP is known for.

James
James,
Love the sherry and peat combo. Young rough spice and some older smooth whisky in here as well. A great dram from Highland Park despite no age statement. A favorite!
