Member Reviews and Ratings of BSB 103 Brown Sugar Bourbon
Delicious, but extremely sweet. Can get to be a little much as a result.
Too sweet for me, even though it's not as sweet as their standard BSB. Many of my friends love it for straight shots.
Very sweet on it’s own but would be great in oatmeal.
Love this bottle and the flavor is tremendous
I don’t think I’d buy it again...loved the first bottle ordered but the second one just is a bit overpowering with the cinnamon and brown sugar. My tastes must have changed over time....
A little sweet for me to the point where it needs to be diluted to drop the sugar content to be drinkable. But once done it's an OK adult beverage. I would like to taste a version that's 124 proof, same sweetness so when mixed down with water it would be just right.
"It tastes like burning." Both sweet but cinnamon hot at the same time. The fiery first taste overwhelms any whiskey flavor that might be hiding in the glass. It's an Atomic FireBall cinnamon jawbreaker in a glass. I won't buy it again, but it's not so awful I can't finish it. Just not my thing.
High proof aroma with a back note of brown sugar. Starts hard with cinnamon and finishes with brown sugar. A couple drops of water or a good whiskey cube mellows it a bit. Very winter holiday overall.
It's like drinking a Holiday scented candle. Not my taste.
It’s just what you think it is. An awesome cheap whiskey that is sweet with a kick. Love it
It is not good. About as much a whiskey as fireball...
Brilliantly mouth watering. The brown sugar sweetens the spirit without making it taste artificial. Not overly complex, but perfectly balanced by the higher ABV. It’s a holiday party in my mouth. Warms my soul.
Interesting taste. The sweetness surprised me, but in a good way. Enjoyed each glass so far.
Great taste but on the sweet side! Good for a mixer.
Too sweet for sipping but turns a hot chocolate into something special.
Great for a sweet bourbon
This is sweet, but I like it that way. Goes GREAT is a cup of otherwise black coffee or in an Old Fashioned. Just be a lighter or omit the sugar.
Shared with friends all enjoyed the flavor. Will be good with apple cider.
Great to have in your bar for friends that have a little difficulty with the more spirit-forward drinks or drinking neat. First sweet, flavorful... the brown sugar is not subtle. We are looking forward to making some cocktails with it; my lady enjoys it straight, and so do I but after my second glass I'm onto something less sweet.
Too sweet for a sipper, but might be good mixed or as a shot
Tastes just like apple pie moonshine. Strong hits of cinnamon and smells like the fall cinnamon candles you buy for your house.
Definitely a fall flavor.
Too sweet for me. Was better with a mixer but still kind tasted too strong with the sugar.
The brown sugar is VERY distinct. I love the sweetness.
I always keep a few bottles of flavored whiskey on hand for a last drink. I’d been wanting to try this for awhile and was not disappointed. I’ll probably pick up another bottle before moving on to something else.
At first I thought that it was too sweet, but after a few tastings, I actually prefer it neat. I think that it would be great with a club soda but I don’t want to really water it down.
its a little too spicy for me, reminds me of fireball
Kind of tastes like the old flavored bourbon mix...fireball
I loved the brown sugar and cinnamon....I’ll order it again...of course I liked the sweetness...
But I’m just a rookie at the tasting game....
Strong sweet brown sugar flavor. Perfect for old fashions. Don’t need sugar cube
I get honey with a hint of brown sugar on the noes.
Sweet but not too sweet to sip.
Whisky notes come out on the finish with cinnamon.
Love the sweet cinnamon flavor
My new favorite.
New to bourbon but I liked the sweetness. Better after chilled on the stone for a bit
Garbage. Tastes like sweet fireball with a higher ABV.
Makes a mean Manhattan
DAMN this Bourbon is good. Bought it because I was wondering what the taste could be like and the aftertaste is like sticking your head in a bag of brown sugar...and whats wrong with that.
this needs to be mixed with something! It has a very spicy kick to it. Might be good in the fall with some cider or even mix with hard cider.
Waaaaay too sweet to enjoy. It totally is for a beginner if they want to start drinking straight liquor. Tastes like an oatmeal cookie.
This is so sweet - I imagine it could be tasty mixed into a dry cider in the fall, but the brown sugar is way too much for my taste.
it is very sweet, but my main problem with Bourbon (and whiskey in general) is that i find the finish too harsh and therefore don't enjoy drinking it. i do like sweet things and this BSB is great and the finish is super smooth. after a few months of drinking this, i could see being able to move to less smooth flavors and enjoying them. 10 stars for this to be sure! great price too - even tho i suspect that means it is a lower quality alcohol
I tasted this as part of a whiskey flight in a hotel bar in Seattle. First time I've ever asked the wait staff to bring me the bottle from the bar so I could take a picture to help me remember what it looked like. Just sweet enough for someone who isn't a big bourbon fan to drink without a mixer but not so sweet that a huge bourbon fan would get a toothache. Bravo for a great-tasting sipping bourbon!
