A delicate and crisp “Tequila of the Highest” good enough to serve to the Queen herself.
Cesar Garcia moved from Spain to Mexico at the age of sixteen, settling in the home state of Tequila — Jalisco. He founded the Rio de Plata Distillery in 1943 and his business thrived. Their first brand was “Don Cesar Tequila” and they grew quickly from there. Cesar passed away in 1981, but he made his motto “Tequilas del Señor” — Tequilas of the Highest — and stuck to it. Today the family-run distillery produces a range of Tequilas and Mexican spirits from the original location — exporting them all over the world.
Herencia de Plata Reposado Tequila is a top-shelf brand. In fact, when the president of Mexico traveled to Mexico for an official state visit in 2002, he served it to Queen Elisabeth himself. Herencia is 100% blue agave and is naturally fermented. Of course, as a “Reposado” (rested) Tequila, it has aged in oak for a minimum of two months. Herencia de Plata Reposado Tequila is known for its fruit-forward character.
