This 18YO masterpiece is the smoothest Whisky from the Old Parr House.

It was the year 1909 when the Greenlees Brothers introduced Old Parr to the world. Let’s dig into the name, shall we. Thomas Parr was said to be England’s longest-lived man. He lived for 152 years and died in 1635. Talk about an Old Parr, eh? You know what else is really old and produced with wisdom only a really old guy could have? The whiskies used said Whiskey blend. James and Samuel were two of the most skilled and successful pioneers of blended Whisky of their time. Today, the Old Parr brand still hasn’t forgotten about the founders’ dedication to quality and craftsmanship.

Grand Old Parr 18 Year Old Scotch Whisky is the smoothest Whisky from the Old Parr House. It’s made in the heart of Scotland. Complex and very full-flavored, expect sweet and fruity flavors that are supported by notes of aged wood. Sip it neat or on the rocks so you’ll be able to really appreciate its unique, rich, and balanced character.

Scotland is home to more than 20 million casks of maturing Whisky. That’s four for every person living there. Nuts!
Single Malt Scotch Whisky is made in Scotland using a pot still distillation process at a single distillery, with malted barley as the only grain ingredient. It must be matured in oak casks in Scotland for at least three years (most Single Malts are matured longer, though).
Whisky or Whiskey? The spelling differs geographically. In Scotland, Japan, and some other parts of the world, distilleries usually spell it Whisky; in Ireland and the USA, they spell it Whiskey.
First-class Whiskies are taxed not only by the state but also by the angels. This refers to the 4% of Whisky that evaporates from the barrels every year, a phenomenon known as the angel’s share.
Beer and malt Whisky seem to have quite a bit in common. Both drinks begin with malted barley, which deliver the enzymes and sugars needed for fermentation when steeped in hot water. The two go their separate ways at the wash stage, where they're fermented or aged to become the adult beverages you know and love.
90% of all Scotch Whiskies sold are Blends.
