Once upon a time, Jean Baptiste Lapostolle had a small corner distillery in Neauphle-le-Chateau, France, where he made his fruit Brandies and Liqueurs. Years later, his granddaughter Jean married Louis-Alexandre Marnier, and this is how Maison Marnier-Lapostolle was born. Nearly 200 years later, The Grand Marnier brand, probably most famous for its innovative Cordon Rouge, was acquired by Campari Group.
