― First, I love dark rum. This is a good one for both sipping and mixing. The after taste is not a very harsh bite, so it goes down wonderfully. The only thing that keeps me from giving a 10 is the heavier than most molasses after note, but that is a personal taste preference

― SURPRISINGLY good - particularly for the price. If you like Rum that has actual rum FLAVOR and not because it will quickly get you rip-snorted, this one is hard to beat. You can sip it neat but not too pricey to feel guilty about mixing with it (I like it half-and-half with spiced rum, then top with Coke - for COLD winters it recently edged-out Meyers for Hot Rum Toddys)

― Spices all around. Nutmeg and maple are very front and center followed by a calming cinnamon. Brown sugar echoes the maple flavor. Usually I love Zacapa 23 but this narrowly edges out ahead of it.
