There are three secrets we'd like to know: is Nessie real, where Waldo is, and how Mitchell & Son manages to keep producing some of the best Irish Whiskey in existence. We won't get answers to them, but what we get is another outstanding Spot, released to celebrate the 135th anniversary of the Mithcell family's Whiskey-making debut.

Gold Spot is an incredibly lush Whiskey that spent at least nine years in a combo of ex-Bourbon barrels, Sherry butts, Port pipes, and Bordeaux wine casks. They bottled it at 51.4%, and it comes with aromas of vanilla, dark berries, and peach that translate beautifully into a sweet palate with notes of toasted oak and baking spices. The finish is decadently long, and look, what we're saying here is your home bar deserves this treasure.
