Nicholas,
Not as smooth as the 12. But enjoyable nonetheless. More spice forward rather than fruit like the 12. I got a lot of spice notes, some vanilla and toffee. Fun dram.
John,
Very smooth. Great bottle to enjoy with friends

Jacob,
One of my favorites. Very smooth. I will always have this in my home bar.
Janet,
Just smooth as silk, with a flavor that begs for exploration. On my way to buy another bottle. Might not share this one ...
Sam,
The cognac and apricot note on the end was really something unique
Nicholas,
Excellent scotch. The cognac gives it a distinct and appealing flavor. Very smooth.
Jared,
Great
Josh,
Scotch whisky that’s got more flavor than you'd think but is harsher than the Macallan 18. Pepper lingers a bit but is balanced by a slight... is that, butter?
Andrew,
Love it... Nice go to when I have beginner scotch drinkers come over... Most people don't believe you can taste fruit in a Scotch... So I like to show them this and see their reactions....
Sam,
Love the apricot note here. Nice and fruity!
guest,
Incredible fruity rich flavor
John,
Good caramel color and nose is woody. The port barrels give it a very distinct taste and flavor. It is a little light on the finish but ultimately a good drinking whiskey .
Michael,
Wow, what a nice surprise. The cognac finish is superb. Easy drinking yet not boring at all. You’re going to want more and more. Solid value, at least in my locale.
Nicholas,
Creamy, smooth flavor. Heavy Pear syrupy flavor. Easy finish - especially for a single malt scotch
Bennie,
This was my first venture in Glenlivet and Scotch in general. Was tempted since it was in Cognac Cask so decided to give it a go. Glad I did. A nice break from my norm.
Christopher,
I usually hate glenlivet. but I enjoy cognac & had never seen a scotch aged in cognac barrels before, so I gambled on a bottle. Best decision I've made on an unknown bottle, Easily in my top 5.
Doug,
Already a fan of glen-12, so the 14 cognac was an easy choice. And it did not disappoint. Smoky, peat, smooth. Delicious! Finished my first dram and immediately ordered two more bottles. Cheers!
Daniel,
Deeelicious. I love the 18yr, and this comes close, but about half the price. A little more burn than I like on the finish, but that’s the only reason I didn’t give it a 10. Smells wonderful. Very smooth initial mouthfeel, and sweet oak on the palate with a long finish.. This will become a regular for me.
guest,
Initial spice notes moving quickly to sweet toffee. Light finish
Michael,
Don’t like the cognac finish. Unlikable taste I can’t place.
Stephen,
Still exploring Scotch but this was an instant favorite! Fruity aroma and slightly sweet on the palate with a pleasant finish. I found it better without water. Like this better than the 15-year offering.
Jared,
Good nose definitive oak scent. Smooth and complex finish really enjoy
Aaron,
I found this one somewhat lacking in flavor complexity. It’s not bad but it’s nothing to write home about. The 15 is much better.
Bryan,
Loved it.
Gary,
This has become my favorite. Amazing.
Jacob,
Was at a Glenlivet tasting and I greatly preferred this to the 15 and 18! The cognac finish was spectacular and something everyone should try! For a relatively young scotch this may be the best I've had
Michelle,
A splash of water really opens up this very smooth and pleasant offering from The Glenlivet. Hints of vanilla on the tongue and then a great finish
Kent,
Really like this! Interesting and enjoyable nose, taste, and finish... All complex with something new each time I go back. Will be buying again.🥃
Brandon,
Smooth with a subtle burn and flavors of cognac. Not as bold as I was expecting but nice.
Michelle,
Very smooth, no bite to it and it had great finish.
