Stefan
Stefan,
The nose is very etanol heavy, not suprising when its 61.5 ABV. After this the peat comes in and it ends in a pear like note. The taste is like the note ABV heavy but after the palate get used to it the peat is the dominate. There is some type of licorice note also that is in the taste. Add 2-3 drips of water to make its less ABV heavy and make it more filled.

Oystein,
Extraordinary whisky! Not the «ordinasjon» Glenlivet. Richard, full taste! I love it!

Pete
Pete,
Enjoyed the fruity and honey beginning and that little bit of peat & smokiness at the end. This not for everyone, but its worth tasting if you haven't

Daniel
Daniel,
Vanilla, smoke, oak, spice. Much more flavor than the I thought after pouring into a glass. I liked this straight without ice.

Jim
Jim,
Explosion of peat, honey, and fruit. Very smooth.

LANCE
LANCE,
I expected this to bit more smoother, started with a fruity taste and then a smokey peaty kicked in at the end. Great with a Cigar Reply

Scott
Scott,
I like peaty whiskey but surprisingly I found this to be a little harsh and not as smooth as I was expecting. I probably would not buy this again.

Nicholas
Nicholas,
This was OK - too smokey.

Philip,
Wow.... The Glenlivet hasn't produced a smoky in over a hundred years? After this, I find that hard to believe, as it is amazing. The vanilla and tobacco sweet aroma to this beauty hides its strength of character. Opens up with a couple of drops of water and then bites the back of the tongue slightly enough to show a bit of citric acidity. Then it finishes quickly and smoky. Did I mention it's surprisingly sweetness combined with its strength? This Speyside Scotch is worth every penny....and at its strength, it will hit your head nicely. I'd bet this would pair nicely with a good cigar! Sláinte agad-sa!!!

Burton
Burton,
Deliciously smoky and fruity. A great combination of tastes. Presented at cask strength - what's not to like?

Matthew
Matthew,
Got some serious kick to it. Not too smoky, fairly smooth once you get past the cask strength.

Great balance of woody taste. Great value

Scott
Scott,
Very enjoyable especially the wee bit of smoke on the back end. At 61.5% I need to work with how much water I want to add so I don't water down the other favors.

Unreal if you can handle the peat

Robert
Robert,
I feel that this is not what you would call a sipping scotch. Has a strong peated smoke with a bit of a nutty hint. Good scotch for those long tough days, when you need something that will bite back and not just nibble at the edges.

Adam
Adam,
Way too much peat. Hits you in the face before anything.
