Glengoyne Cask Strength Batch 5
Troy,
A stronger burn but the background Sherry and pepper flavors pull through. Enjoyable to the end but not exceptional.
Glengoyne Cask Strength Batch 5
Amelia,
Lots of sediment. Very peppery and salty nose. More pepper, slightly overpowering the sherry on the palate.
Glengoyne Cask Strength Batch 6
Andrej,
Wow! Sherry at the beginning. But then whole range of delights. It lasts and lasts and lasts. Whiskey at its best.
Glengoyne Cask Strength Batch 4
Scott,
A little too strong for my taste, but has a nice sherry touch that's pleasant on the nose and palate.

John,
The best Highland I've tasted. Super smooth. So much going on with a caramel finish. Purchased on our tour of the distillery this past summer. Great experience.

Anthony,
Amazing, to be honesty! The burn and the finish last very long, great thick legs on the swirl.... I will definitely recommend to try, A+. Smell cherries, maple syrup, black pepper and BURN BABY
Glengoyne Cask Strength Batch 4
Martin,
A good strong taste. The ‘afterburn’ is strong with this one. I really like it for those cold evenings - has a good spicy taste!

Nickolas,
Just before I took a sip, I could smell a hint of caramel. After I swallowed it, I could taste a creamy-sweetness. Not quite honey but nonetheless, still very pleasant. But by far the best part is the warm and spicy finish that lingers for some time afterwards. This is - hands down - my favorite scotch. Definitely one to be sipping on once winter brings the below-zero weather around.

Greg,
Wow, this is really great Scotch! If you're a fiddich lover, this will be right in your wheelhouse. Bold flavor but oh so smooth on the tongue and after the swallow. Snag a bottle!

Bob,
Sweet goes down easy

Daniel,
Without water the alcohol takes most of the taste. But with water, it evolves to a sweet well tasting dram. Lovely summer night dram or a cozy warm winter dram.

Lewis,
Solid Highlander in the sour/meaty tradition of Craigellachie. Cured meat, malty sweetness, a touch of bitterness. Demands 10-15 mins in the glass before it opens up.

Michael,
Very light scotch, but thick on the tongue. The flavors mature a bit if you let it oxidize. For the price and age, I expect a lot more flavor and texture.
Glengoyne Cask Strength Batch 4
Louis,
Would definately recommend this to friends.
Glengoyne Cask Strength Batch 4
Louis,

Russ,
A very smooth whisky. Prominent notes of butterscotch in both the nose and palate. A very popular dram every time I have brought it out.

Initially floral then butterscotch in the nose. Lovely & smooth.

Nothing too special.

Deric,
Delicious. It was the only bottle in my power rangers taster that wasn’t shattered and wasted in shipping
Glengoyne Cask Strength Batch 3
Michael,
Burns a bit going down but has the flavor to back it up. Not a bad dram.

Piotr,
Rich, beautiful nose. Fantastic finish, quite surprising in comparison to the smell, oak, oak. I love oak finish. A little spicy and dry but sweet (really like this oppositions) could be a little sweeter, but maybe I have one of these “sweet days”...

Piotr,
Pfff. Nothing to say about it. It’s fair 10 year old scotch.
Glengoyne Cask Strength Batch 3
Martin,
Wonderful full flavor. Add a few drops of water to open it up and minimize the initial bite. Good aftertaste. Would certainly enjoy a bottle.
Glengoyne Cask Strength Batch 3
David,
As far as cask strengths go, it's very obviously high ABV. There isn't quite enough character or complexity to mask the strong alcohol bite, but this alone doesn't disqualify it from being a decent whisky. Fruit variations and breads stand out in the taste, and the strong attack fades slowly into a pleasant finish. Not a strong performer, but it has a place in whiskey collections.

Mark,
For the price point really smooth and easy to drink neat. The taste doesn’t blow me away, but good for casually sipping. I strongly recommend going on a tour of their distillery and some of the later years are amazing.

guest,
Getting plenty of sherry. Nice.
Glengoyne Cask Strength Batch 3
Kevin,
Smells like sweet hay, tastes just a bit sweet, and finishes with black pepper spice.

Kelly,
Glengoyne in general is one of my favorite all-around Scotch's. Not too peaty, not too sweet, and always a nice finish.
