Back to life, back to reality.

The Glenglassaugh distillery was founded by Col. James Moir in 1875, at the east end of the beautiful Sandend Bay, in the Speyside region of Scotland. In 1892 Glenglassaugh was purchased by Highland Distillers and continued production until 1986, when it was mothballed. In 2008 it was bought by the BenRiach distillery with the intention of bringing this brand back to life, and rightfully so.

Glenglassaugh Evolution is a limited edition, which joins the Revival bottling. Aged in ex-Tennessee Whiskey casks that were used to age George Dickel, it was bottled at cask strength. Evolution is part of Glenglassaugh's series of single malts that celebrate the variety of casks in which Scotch is aged. It’s young, vibrant, full of energy, and punchy, yet it is showing significant talent.

What does Glenglassaugh Evolution taste like?

The Flavor Spiral™ shows the most common flavors that you'll taste in Glenglassaugh Evolution and gives you a chance to have a taste of it before actually tasting it.

We invented Flavor Spiral™ here at Flaviar to get all your senses involved in tasting drinks and, frankly, because we think that classic tasting notes are boring.

Charles,
The bartender said they had just gotten this in, so I gave it a try. Took a little while to open up, and I added a splash of water which helped. It was very good.
