The 1st of its kind, finished in both American AND Spanish oak casks.

Founded in 1887, with machinery bought from the Cardhu Distillery, William Grant created Glenfiddich. Still in the hands of the Grant family, Glenfiddich is the biggest selling malt Whisky worldwide and remains Scottish owned and independent. William Grant pioneered their Whiskies as 'single malts' at a time when malts were produced to supply the blended Whisky producers. It's a vision that has paid off, thanks for creating the category Mr. Grant!

Matured for 14 years in American Oak and finished in new fill American and Spanish Oak casks, this is an exploration in wooded perfection. Glenfiddich is of course a World-renowned malt, and this is a great addition to the already extensive family of Whiskies on offer. But why use two different types of Oak? Surely there can’t be that much of a difference between two trees? Well there is. The American Oak adds more of a vanilla sweetness, while the Spanish introduces more fragrant spice to the liquid. This is the first new fill American and Spanish Oak finished malt in the World, and is definitely something every Whisky enthusiast should invest in.

Single Malt Scotch Whisky is made in Scotland using a pot still distillation process at a single distillery, with malted barley as the only grain ingredient. It must be matured in oak casks in Scotland for at least three years (most single malts are matured longer).

guest,
Much smoother than a classic bourbon. A lot going on. You can tell there’s Spices, vanilla, oranges, and oakiness. smoother and easier to drink than Johnie walker. Not sure if better than jamenson yet.

Taste like a bourbon. Nice. Different way to taste the malted barley.

Jeremy
Jeremy,
Good for the price but well short of the Solera or the 18yo

Marcus
Marcus,
Decent, inexpensive 14 year old, but nothing to write home about.

Matthew
Matthew,
One of my favorite Glenfiddich bottles. Not something I could drink all night, but a good dram dominated by woody oak flavor.

Mark
Mark,
Very smooth, easy drinking scotch.

Shana
Shana,
All around always satisfying Speyside single malt. Lives up to the craft and history of its neighboring distillery (Glenlivet) and I challenge you to find a single malt scotch with this much complexity of character at this price point.
