Smell / Aroma
Sherried fruit, distinctive butterscotch, warm morning berry tarts & cherry pie just out of the oven, roses and traces peat smoke.
Flavor / Taste / Palate
A big, full-flavored citrusy sherry and lightly caramelly malt with mineral notes that induce impressive austerity. Hints of oak and peat smoke notes. Superbly balanced.
Finish
Supple, complex, balanced and smoooooooth. Hints of spice, sherry sweetness, oak and smoke. The flavors really hang for a long time.

Gregory,
A great scotch overall
Luis,
Simply amazing. I was blown away by the deceptive complexity of this elixir. Smooth, yet rough. Long legs, but not overpowering.
Taylor,
This is my favorite scotch. Nothing I have had compares to this bottle of scotch.
guest,
It’s really solid, but at $100 price point, I would recommend the Glendronach 12 or Balvenie 12 over this dram for $40 less
Peter,
Had the 10 and the 17- it’s a good house Scotch; I decanted the 17 and it brought out the flavor- Unique and enjoyable-
Eric,
More complexity than the 12, but not enough to justify a big price jump. Increased price just about equals the increased flavor, so with value factored in, I'd rate this the same as the 12.
guest,
Good
David,
Great smoky highland scotch
Laurence,
Another lovely bottle from Glenfarclas. Very similar to their fantastic 15yr, only a touch gentler. Tastes of butterscotch, prunes and caramel - perfect for Christmas!
Viktor,
Great
Michael,
One of my new favorite sherry bomb single malts.
Nicholas,
Beautiful entry level complexion
christopher,
Purchase for my Law School roommate. I'll find out how he is enjoying it.
Raoul,
Initially, I didn’t pay attention to other remarks that it needs decanting, well this one really NEEDS some air. When tasting straight after pouring in the glass it tastes okay, a solid 8/10, but it only shows it class after twenty minutes.
A profound, big whisky without being heavy or plump.
Martin,
A good “every day” whisky also for a perfect for beginners
Will,
Absolutely Perfect!!
Lewis,
Excellent sherry bomb. Brighter and easier than its cask strength brothers (Aberlour A'bunadh/Glendronach Single Cask) but requires time in the glass before you dive in. Easier drinking and perhaps even a touch more complex (better) than the Glenfarclas 105.
Don,
Wow! Very smooth all the way through. Perhaps my favorite so far.
Jacob,
Very smooth scotch, my girlfriend even enjoys it even though she doesn’t like scotch
Donald,
Dark caramel, figs appear on the nose along with nuts and baking spices. The finish brings more baking spices and orange zest. Very smooth one of the best Speyside Scotches available.
Jesse,
Egg, and a good bottle. Glenfarclas is always an overachiever.
Stephen,
Another one!
Felipe,
Another one... that makes 4
Heath,
This was everything I expected. Very smooth. Perfect choice for winding down in the evening after a hard day of work.
Ty,
Great dram, but only marginally better than the 12. Next time I’ll save $50 and go with the 12.
Aubony,
Yum
Justin,
Excellent smooth and very enjoyable.
Johnny,
Nice flavors of breakfast crisps and red fruit.
James,
I am a big fan of Glen Farclas 12. The 17 is better, but not by much.
Very good but very smooth drinking scotch if that's what you like
Reginald,
Very nice Whiskey. Made me smile!
Paul,
This speyside whisky is unbelievably smooth. The flavor was rich but not too thick, it was still light and grassy with tasting notes of cherry and vanilla. I really enjoyed drinking this to celebrate my friend's wedding.
