Top reviews for The GlenDronach Port Wood:

― Pretty great. Worth trying if you already love the 15 and 18 from Glen Dronach. The Port Wood is a less sweet cousin to their sherry cask offerings and an enjoyable alternative. You’d be glad to have this in the cabinet, but if you haven’t tried anything from this distillery, definitely start with the 15!

Appearance / Color
Blushing Caramel

Nose / Aroma / Smell
The influence of the casks arrive quickly upon the nose with notes of Grappa, fig, pear, and banana over graham cracker pie crust and warm baking spices.

Flavor / Taste / Palate
The palate follows the nose with more of the fruit tones — this time with a hint of blackberries and apricot — over rich Rum cake and vanilla cream.

Finish
The finish is long with a lingering note of Holiday fruitcake.
