— SPECTACULAR! A couple of things: 1)How is this NOT over 200 bucks? 2)This is 61% ABV? I'm not feeling it. Especially on the nose. Pineapple jumped out initially for me, followed by peach and melons with a touch of cinnamon. Surprisingly friendly with hardly any burn on the nose. How did they do that with a 122 proof whiskey??? On the palate. Sweet, as most sherried Scotches are, but deep and rich. Fruit cake for days with notes of cinnamon and spice. Halfway into the dram, a bready cinnamon bun came to mind mixed with a prominent oak note. I got a bit of chocolate covered almonds as well. Again, I'm still wondering about the cask strength. This is probably the "smoothest", friendliest, AND the highest ABV in my collection. It's definitely warming, but absolutely no burn! Dr. Rachel Barrie, Glendronach's master blender, really knows her stuff. A 61% finessed to be so damn elegant and sophisticated. A brilliant release! This is perhaps one of the BEST sherried whiskies I've ever had! Easily beats the Macallan 18 in my collection (overhyped imo) which is almost 3 times the Glendronach's price. In a blind taste-test, this Batch 8 would easily beat it and other top-shelf sherried whiskies hands down! Cheers!🥃

— A very nice and smooth scotch; the flavor profile is on target. 🤠

— Strong fruity flavors. Finish is long and pleasant. One of the finest sherried scotches I've ever had.

steve,
So great I had to order a second bottle, this may make me rethink Cask strength in the future

steve
steve,
Wow, what a shock to the palate...smoky, lots of depth to its notes, this could be new favorite Go To Scotch. Not sure how it can be that much better in Cask strength from its more pedestrian brothers, but it is. Sandy in Dufftown, Scotland, told me it was good, and he was right.
