The person who came up with the name "Grandeur" for GlenDronach's limited-edition range deserves a raise. The drams that end up in the range are consistently epic, but Batch 10 even more so. They found the oldest Sherry casks in the cellar and put this precious Single Malt for 27 goddamn years inside. You can imagine the complexity and the lasting finish.

Scotland is home to more than 20 million casks of maturing Whisky. That’s four for every person living there. Nuts!
90% of all Scotch Whisky released in the market is a blend. That’s a hell of a lot.
90% of all Scotch Whiskies sold are Blends.
All of the workers at GlenDronach lived on site, including the distillery manager, staff, excise man, brewer and all of their families.
First-class Whiskies are taxed not only by the state but also by the angels. This refers to the 4% of Whisky that evaporates from the barrels every year, a phenomenon known as the angel’s share.
Can Scotch go bad? Technically, an unopened bottle of Scotch can last forever. Air is the only true evil to Whisky; once the liquid is oxidized it is no longer immortal. After opening, as long as you store your Whisky in a cool, dry place, it will last another 5 years.
