GlenDronach 12 Year Old Original
Kent,
Nice, but I prefer others...
GlenDronach 12 Year Old Original
Jacob,
It was solid. I wouldn't buy again. There's other 12-year bottles that are comparable/maybe better. But solid taste if you like smooth sherry cask finish!
Glendronach 15 Year Old Revival
Jacob,
Very good! I really enjoyed the finish. Tried it in a bar and went out looking for the whole bottle after. Good smokey taste for those that don't like peat (like me)

Gary,
Great! This is my new fave Oruro sherry cask whiskey. Very similar to the Macallan 12 but without the surfer. Highly recommend!

Andrew,
The 15 really is a nice upgrade from the 12 (which is also very good). Upon pouring the first glass, I smelled that sherry and a bit of a cherry cough syrup smell. I let the glass sit for 15 minutes. When I returned it was like Christmas cake with raisins. A very substantial nose. The mouthfeel is not heavy but not watery either. It is very pleasant on arrival and as it travels through your mouth. You'll pick up some sour notes (I'm not a big fan of sour so it's the only part of the experience I was iffy about). It finishes with a bite but settles nicely. In moments you'll be ready for your next taste. I'm very happy with this purchase.

GlenDronach Excl. Cask 1995
Richard,
Delicious. Everything one expects from Glendronach. Perhaps not worth going out of the way for given how well priced the 15 year revival is for the taste.
GlenDronach Scotch Single Malt Cask Strength Batch 3
Richard,
I remember this being a very good dram, but not necessarily better than the 15 year revival. It had a more unique flavor profile, and perhaps a bit stronger taste. A delicious dram, but not necessarily a daily drinker, especially given the price.

Richard,
It's been a long time, I remember it being delicious, but not that much more delicious than the 15 year revival, given the price difference.
GlenDronach 12 Year Old Original
Richard,
A good whisky, all of the flavor of the 15 year revival, but none of the subtlety that the older expressions bring. If the 15 year were not available I suppose I might buy this from time to time, to reminisce on it's delicious older sibling, but this was likely a one time purchase for me. The 15 year revival exists at the intersection of the taste and affordability. This has a great sherry taste but the flavor is more strong and forward compared to the older expression.

Richard,
The best tasting money I have ever had. Everything about the Glendronach 15 year revival that is wonderful and delicious, only more. The extra aging creates a more beautifully blended, smooth, and complimentary taste palate. If I could afford it I would drink nothing else. The best bottle I have ever had.

Richard,
This is the scotch that got me into scotch. The color is a beautiful deep red. The nose is strong with hints of vanilla and sherry but does not betray the bevy of flavors within the dram. A flavorful sherry taste, but not overly sweet. It has a bit of a strong initial flavor but is still nice and smooth to finish. It has just a hint of a smokey finish without being overly peaty. A great, complex, and nuanced combination of flavors that leaves one satisfied time and again. Easily a daily drinker for a sophisticated palate. I bought 2 cases, I will never be without this dram in my bar. I would happily buy this at any occasion given.

Really great but complex initial flavor. Finishes beautifully.

Alex,
I mean its good just not $177 good.

Daniel,
Sweet sherry, long finish and a bit of burn. I liked this much better with a small chip of ice and let it open up for about 20 minutes. Caramel, spice, oak start to come through and warmth without the burn. Very unique and glad to have tried this one - it’s a perfect dessert scotch

Steve,
Not bad by any means, but if I'm going for a sherried scotch, I prefer The Lasanta, especially given the difference in price.

guest,
My favorite scotch to date. Amazing all around flavor with no overwhelming notes, perfect balance.

Doug,
Hints of berries to go with the sherry…not very strong and kind of mellow, which is fine. A good dram but there's other sherry finished 12's that I find better. For example, I'd choose the Macallan 12 or Glenfarclas 12 over this if I had a choice. I find the Macallan and Glenfarclas more complex (and I prefer the Glenfarclas's subtleness and oiliness). Still, the GlenDronach is plenty good.

GlenDronach 12 Year Old Original
Greg,
My introduction to Glendronach was the 15 year Revival, which I describe a scotch with full-flavor, depth and texture. So, I wanted to try their entry bottle, the 12 year. And I’m impressed. Yes, 3 years aging makes a difference. Still, this 12 year is a palatable delight. Flavor rich sherry and sweet spicy heat, it goes down easily. Great addition to my bar.

Ryan,
Drinks smoth, great sherry taste and full body scotch. This is an incredible value and drinks far above its price point.
GlenDronach 12 Year Old Original
Mikel,
Near perfect bottle-will be stocking my bar with this from now on! The nose has a mulled spiciness to it and the flavor switches it up by being only slightly spicy, very little heat. Medium weight mouthfeel and a good pleasing mouthfeel.
GlenDronach 12 Year Old Original
Seth,
Spicy and smooth. Very little peat in the flavor, very enjoyable.

Daniel,
I quite like this, smooth sherry bomb. Almost nothing on the nose, but everything in taste, works with water, it got strength

Jordan,
Smoother sherry scotch with a bit of spice on the end. Minimal to no peat. Hard to beat at this price point for me.

Kevin,
Come to daddy! Where you been hiding? I just got this, so god knows I might have an entirely different opinion by the time I get through the bottle, but right now it seems a great value, and a bit different from the Speyside whiskey I'm most used to.
GlenDronach 12 Year Old Original
Wesley,
Really an easy drinking Scotch. Sweet and lightly smoked. The mix of PX and Olorosso casks is perfect for my palette. I tasted this head-to -head with Macallan 12 and was surprised at the results. This beat Macallan 12 easily. (At least according to both me and the Misses). I paid about 150% the cost of Macallan 12 for this. Maybe you’ll think it’s worth 150% the cost of The Macallan 12. It’s a good pour but it should be considering the cost.

FABULOUS!!!
GlenDronach 12 Year Old Original
Piotr,
Incredible smell - full, sweet, sherried. Dry taste, a little spicy, next vanilla. Quite long finish sweet notes, some raisins. It is a really good whisky. Only spicy taste is stopping me from adding this whisky to my favorites.
GlenDronach 12 Year Old Original
Joshua,
My desert island scotch. The sherry is perfectly weighted - still obviously drinking whisky, but its sweetness leads without being overpowering. This for sherry, Talisker for peat, and I'd probably be set for life.
