The Glendronach distillery was founded in 1826 and stands as one of the first licensed distilleries in Scotland. It is located in a secluded spot in Aberdeenshire and dedicated to producing richly Sherried Scotch style with their 4 copper pot stills.

Every year their master distiller Billy Walker selects a handful of individual casks from their warehouses to be bottled as Limited Releases. The maturing Whiskies date back as far as 1968 in a vast selection of barrels, hogsheads, puncheons and butts.

The Glendronach 1993 20 Year Old Oloroso Sherry Butt was released as part of their 8th batch in August 2013, after a 20 year maturation in an Oloroso Sherry butt. Only 669 of this single cask release were ever bottled, at a 54.7% ABV.

What does Glendronach 1993 Oloroso Sherry Butt 20YO taste like?

The Flavour Spiral™ shows the most common flavours that you'll taste in Glendronach 1993 Oloroso Sherry Butt 20YO and gives you a chance to have a taste of it before actually tasting it.

We invented Flavour Spiral™ here at Flaviar to get all your senses involved in tasting drinks and, frankly, because we think that classic tasting notes are boring.
