Top reviews for Glendalough Poitin Sherry Cask Finish:

— I had never even heard of Poitín until it was recommended by Flaviar. It is commonly described as Irish moonshine, but I'm here to tell you it is nothing like moonshine. Being aged in Sherry casks, the aroma of wine is unmistakable. I'm not a fan of wine, but I found it quite pleasant. It is quite sweet and a little dry, but oh so smooth! The mix of flavors are amazing. I'll definitely be buying this again (not to mention trying the other styles).

— Sherry was different. Strong and heady to start smooth finish.

Jon
Jon,
Definitely not my favorite. The flavor profile was muddied and flat with a barky after taste

Jacquie
Jacquie,
This was a new try for me- I have never had this , so I don’t have anything to compare it to. Overall it isn’t horrible, but this one is not a favorite. I will try others to see if there is a difference.

John
John,
I think I would have enjoyed this more without the sherry finish. I like a good American moonshine, and I guess that's what I expected. It wasn't unpleasant, just not my cup o' booze.

Sherry was different. Strong and heady to start smooth finish.
