Launched in late 2010, this 12 year old Glencadam was finished in port pipes and it was the first ever "finised" whisky from the distillery. Very interesting indeed.

About the Flavor Spiral
What does Glencadam 12 Year Old Portwood Finish taste like?

The Flavor Spiral™ shows the most common flavors that you'll taste in Glencadam 12 Year Old Portwood Finish and gives you a chance to have a taste of it before actually tasting it.

We invented Flavor Spiral™ here at Flaviar to get all your senses involved in tasting drinks and, frankly, because we think that classic tasting notes are boring.

90% of all Scotch Whiskies sold are Blends.
Categories of Scotch Whisky: Single malt, Blended malt (formerly called Vatted malt), blended, single grain and blended grain Scotch.
Blended Whiskies are the result of years of craftsmanship and dedication. A master blender does not simply wake up one day with a profound ability to create a cohesive and enjoyable liquid. From nosing the liquid to working out quantities of each different grain and malt to go into the blend, a master blender can take years, if not decades, to train.
Scotland is home to more than 20 million casks of maturing Whisky. That’s four for every person living there. Nuts!
Is Scotch always Scottish? What do you think? Yes. The answer is yes.
Before being mothballed in 2000, Glencadam malt Whisky was used in the 'Stewart's Cream of the Barley' blend.
