After two well-spaced and well savored sips, you'll soon be in love with your new favorite scotch.

Thomas,
Fuzzy wam mouth feel
Mike,
Really nice, tasty scotch. This is one of the few times I really didn’t get the flavor spiral, as I don’t taste banana or floral at all. Maybe the vanilla and butterscotch are dominating, which is fine by me, because I don’t dig bananas at all.
CATHLEEN,
Very smooth, got the butterscotch and vanilla. mild for a single malt.
Chris,
Smells like a 10, tastes like a 7
Nathan,
Advent #7. Able to pick up some flavors but mostly heat/burn. Not for me.
Tod,
This is ... fun? Kind of a kitchen sink but I like most of what's in it. Lotta body and sweetness to balance out the floral stuff.
Marc,
Smooth going down, great taste, morning was awful, I am such a light weight.
Peter,
Smooth and tasty. Nice spice, not too sweet.
Justin,
Very tasty!
Cameron,
Butterscotch all the way. Definitely almonds and chocolate as well. Would highly recommend buying this
Tommy,
Advent calendar. Not a scotch drinker, sorry. I'm more on the sweet end.
Augustine,
Banana and honey nose with flavor full enough for the bourbon/rye drinkers. Full flavored and lasting creamy finish. Pretty complex and gets better with each sip. Reminds me of Highland Park 18. Solid drink - 8.5/10.
David,
Vanilla with nice floral tones. A bit strong
Kevin,
That’s just a solid scotch. Easy sipping, like an all day every day kinda whiskey. Though, that would kind of be unhealthy in the long run, so not recommending you drink this all day, every day. But, you could.
Lawrence,
Slight floral nose with hidden chocolate
Stephen,
Fruity and flavorful. Noticeable banana flavor, which I did not expect to like. But it comes off as well balanced and mildly sweet.
Jason,
Floral, a bit of peat. Smooth but long burn at the end.
Levi,
A bit of an oily aftertaste, but otherwise great scotch.
Nicholas,
Tasty smooth boy, creamy with chocolate and honey. Some banana, very sweet. This ones solid
Terry,
Advent calendar. Just not a scotch guy. Strong nose. Strong bite. Sorry guys
Adam,
I thought this was peated. Definitely feel the bite but it's a good bite. While i was going through my calendar spirits this one stood out 7 out of 25. So amazing flavor and kudos for these guy.
Todd,
Floral on the nose, but the banana and butterscotch on the palate. Enhanced with water. Best of the advent calendar so far.
Liam,
Fairly strong bite, dark flavor with a smooth finish
Matthew,
I wish I had a bottle of this rather than a vial.
Milk and honey on the nose. Pleasantly oily, with a lot of complexity to the body. My initial thought was a blend, with at least some PX casks in the mix, so it was unsurprising they aged in several cask types.
The creaminess carries through the finish, along with a lingering floral cocoa note, vanllia and a hint of spice. Almost like the lingering taste of a steamed cocoa topped with cream and a fresh grating of spice.
Just a really friendly pour.
Adam,
This is glorious! Nice floral notes on the nose and up front, smooth and creamy finish with a rich honey finish. My favorite of the 2020 Advent so far.
Jesse,
Good scotch. I got a bit too much floral but I liked the floral notes more in this than I normally have in others
Ben,
Vanilla, sweet
Tracy,
Smooth, not too sweet not too spicy - I mostly noticed the butterscotch, banana, and chocolate notes. Overall great!
Fantastic! Sweet, smooth, easy to drink. Got more of the sweet butterscotch, chocolate, and honey on the palate, with the stronger floral notes more in the nose than the mouth. Medium finish. Absolutely adding to my list for the home bar.
James,
Advent Day 7, 2020. By far, my favorite Advent taster thus far. Caramel-vanilla up front with a hint of cocoa on the finish. Nicely balanced and smooth for a 12 year.
Scott,
Advent #7 - Smooth and approachable. Nice nose. Well balanced. Will certainly add a bottle to my bar.
Kent,
My personal front runner after 1 week of the 2020 Advent calendar.
Jason,
Sweet vanilla/butterscotch balanced with some floral notes. Butterscotch seems to dominate on the nose for me. Smooth and balanced throughout. I’d definitely drink this one again.
Ryan,
I am in love. I was intimidated by the idea of floral, but witht he vanilla, butterscotch, and honey notes, it tastes to me like nectar, but with enough spice on the end and such a great mouthfeel that it never turns to cloying. Personally, this is exactly what I look for in a scotch.
Vincent,
Advent Day 7 - Butterscotch dominates from nose to finish. Hints of vanilla, some floral and nutty notes.
Thomas,
Very good. Smooth and sweet, with a bit of bitterness on the finish. Not my preferred style, but solid.
Mike,
Nutty, sweet, and earthy. Very smooth and enjoyable.
Derek,
Predominantly banana and vanilla on both the nose and palate, with subtle floral and butterscotch tones to round it out. Get the slightest hint of milk after a few sips too.
Pretty smooth and remarkably well-balanced between all those flavors. I tend to lean toward smokier, less fruity Scotches, so this isn’t really my normal style, but you can tell that it’s good quality.
Mark,
Smooth sweet taste with a hint of butterscotch. I would drink this again
Bob,
I got this in my Flaviar Advent Sampler and it's my favorite so far. Definite butterscotch in the aroma, and you can taste the butterscotch, floral, almond, and vanilla. I'd definitely buy a bottle of this if it was available. I've added it to my wishlist.
Louise,
A lighter smoky flavor than your typical single-malt scotch. Fruit and caramel—butterscotch.
Julie,
Complex, unique, and packs a bit of a punch. I've had several bourbons that have a banana note, but this was the first scotch I've tasted with it. The flavors are well balanced, pretty enjoyable overall.
Frank,
(Advent 2020, #7) Nice butterscotch in the nose. Flavors of butterscotch continue, with some sweetness and a nice finish. Enjoyable.
Aaron,
Nutty butterscotch
Michele,
Spicy but delicious. I get a hint of chocolate on the finish and butterscotch on the nose.
Kris,
Nice bronze color to it. Rich with chocolate and dried fruit on the nose as well as some banana towards the end. Lots of flavor and all of it good, ultimately a very good dram!
Andrew,
The bite is pretty strong but fades into the cocoa notes. I prefer a smoother Scotch
Bryan,
Sweet start but a strong burn and fast aftertaste hold it back
Paul,
Light oak and caramel scent. Smooth taste with hints of vanilla and caramel.
Gregory,
I like the butterscotch taste
Jim,
Smooth
Daniel,
Advent 2020 #7 - slightly sweet with a smokey/peaty/spicy overtone. Bite is a bit harsh but not unbearable.
Alejandro,
Great aroma. Smooth and Sweet flavor, you can really taste the banana and vanilla.
brad,
Took about 1/3 of a bottle, but the more I drink this one, the more I appreciate it. Not too aggressive, but I get a lot of flavor through the nose (if that makes sense). On the palate, I get banana and also the almond, but more almond skin than the meat. Very complex. Has a sweetness on the finish that I like. Will definitely be buying another bottle in the future.
Seth,
Creamy textured, very smooth, big sherry notes.
Jonathan,
I found this to have too bitter of a taste. I felt like it was more like jet fuel than liquor.
Jonathan,
My apologies, but I had a problem with my sample, and Flaviar has fixed it.
Antti,
It is a very good, complex, Single Malt Scotch Whisky that has an aromatic birth; while a fruity life leads to a long & creamy death with hints of milk chocolate, honey & almonds.
Jason,
Too mellow for my palate. Solid back but the front is very light.
Rian,
I like the 10 year a little better cause it has no smoke and it’s a little stronger. Both are amazing. Ralfy put me on it
Marc,
An instant favorite for me, with fruity notes, vanilla and some spice from the barrel. There is some complexity here.
Benjamin,
A nice mix of almond, butterscotch, and vanilla on the palate. A bit of a burn on the finish but otherwise very enjoyable and a nice, light Scotch.
