A Speyside Single Malt with a sophisticated, lightly dry finish.

Glen Moray was born as West Brewery run by Robert Thorne & Sons. It was converted into a Whisky distillery in 1897. From the very start, prime quality has been job one. The dedication and “authenticity” of Glen Moray’s Single Malt production is just about as good as it gets — changing very little over their 120 years of production on the same spot. The distillery sits on the banks of River Lossie in the Royal Burgh of Elgin — the historic capital of Speyside — and the road into town passes directly through the distillery grounds. Today they are owned by French spirits company La Martiniquaise and all of the production goes into their range of nine Single Malts.

The master distiller at Glen Moray is Graham Coull. He knows his stuff and is responsible for bringing the Glen Moray Chardonnay Cask Finish product into fruition. Now, if you are a fan of Glen Moray, you likely know that they previously produced a Single Malt aged completely in Chardonnay casks. As tasty as that offering was, this Whisky retains more of its Single Malt character, since it's obviously less influenced by the Chardonnay Wine cask during its maturation process. It’s definitely a great dram and a real value too, but you should sample it for yourself.

Single Malt Scotch Whisky is made in Scotland using a pot still distillation process at a single distillery, with malted barley as the only grain ingredient. It must be matured in oak casks in Scotland for at least three years (most single malts are matured longer).

Ratings & Reviews
This is a very smooth scotch. I like the Speyside scotches, and all of Glen Moray scotches ate wonderful.
It's ok. Not as smoky as I normally like
Great. Scotch
A very flavorful dram, has an immediate mellow buttery flavor that is followed by a peaty finish. This is pushing the upper limits of my peat palate, and while I enjoy this bottle very much, and I would buy it again among other lesser options, I would not go out of my way to purchase another bottle. A perfectly acceptable dram.
enjoy the finish of this one
