I light pink Gin born in Italy and infused with a lightly tart Mediterranean flare.

Drinksology Kirker Greer was founded in 2007 by Steven Pattison and Richard Ryan. Still independently owned, they are based in Belfast Northern Ireland but have strategically located offices in Dublin, London, and New York. They consistently churn out a delightful selection of Spirits from scratch in a creative frenzy for such a young company. Their exceptional products range widely across the landscape from Whiskies and Gins to Rums and Liqueurs.

In Italian, Pompelmo means "pink grapefruit." So it is no surprise that Ginato Pompelmo Classico Gin contains that particular citrus.

Without a doubt, the Ginato (say "Gin-ato") line of Spirits are true Gins. But they are FAR from traditional with a focus on capturing the "essence of Italy." Where a traditional Gin might focus on herbs and spices, these Italian beauties embrace more fruit tone from the Mediterranean coast. In additional to fresh Italian juniper, the botanical mix for Ginato Pompelmo Classico Gin includes the classic Italian Sangiovese grape, and citrus from Sicily — with Pompelmo being the star and lending this Spirit a gentle pink hue. Try it in a Gin-based Greyhound for the win.

It’s a common myth that Gin is a tear-jerker. Of course, drinking too much of it will make you feel awful the next day, but that’s the same with any alcohol.
Few Gin distillers make their own alcohol. Gin usually starts with neutral Spirit: A commodity that distillers buy in bulk. It’s what the distiller does with this commodity in the flavor-infusing process that makes each Gin different.
London Dry Gin is not always from London. Gin does not have the same geographical restrictions as Spirits such as Cognac, Scotch, or Tequila. Only a tiny handful of London Dry Gins are actually made in the city.
Juniper berry is the main ingredient of Gin. They are usually picked wild by independent workers throughout Europe and sold via distributors to Gin makers worldwide.
Gin gets its dominant flavour from juniper berries. As with many other spirits, Gin was originally intended to be used as medicine. Yeah right!
As with many other Spirits, Gin was originally intended to be used as a medicine—to battle malaria.
