All about George T. Stagg
George T. Stagg is a limited production Bourbon coming out of the Buffalo Trace Distillery. It is a top shelf product named after the spirits expert and salesman who helped make the Taylor Distillery the success it was back in the 1800s.
Buffalo Trace owns the brands today and have named one of the best Bourbons after this industry icon. Since this is a limited production Bourbon that is bottled to taste, the ABV fluctuates a bit from year to year.
The most recent releases have been a powerful 72% ABV, which will get the rapt attention of the strongest man. The spirit does not have an age statement.
On the George T. Stagg product all of the Bourbons are fairly old — as much as fifteen years. But the casks are married for flavor and texture.
Due to labeling laws it is just not possible to bulk-print labels when each bottle might have a few bits and pieces of Bourbons with different ages.
The taste is remarkably complex. the deeply nuanced flavor profile includes dates, chocolate, mint, toffee, vanilla, blackberries, oak, baking spices, and so much more.
