The perfect gift for any Bourbon aficionado.

George Remus Bourbon is named after a legendary Whiskey-man who operated on both sides of the law during Prohibition. George Remus a.k.a. “King of the Bootleggers” was many things. He was a lawyer, a record-setting swimmer, but most famously, he was a successful bootlegger who created one of the most intricate bootlegging operations of the Prohibition era. Today, George Remus Bourbons are owned by and produced in the Ross & Squibb Distillery.

The Remus Repeal Reserve Bourbon Gift Box is the "be all end all" of Bourbon aficionado gifts, a true connoisseur's collection of their special and rare Bourbon casks carefully crafted to honor the repeal of Prohibition on December 5, 1933.

Inside you'll find 4 individual 375ml bottles filled with each annual edition of the award-winning Series, from Series I to Series IV, featuring the rarest reserves from 2005 (Series I), 2007-2008 (Series II), 2007-2008 (Series III) and 2008 (Series IV).

Series I is crafted with a mesmerizing medley of signature Bourbons from 2005 and 2006: 50% of 2005 Bourbon made with 21% rye in the mash, 15% of 2006 Bourbon made with 36% rye, and 35% of 2006 Bourbon made with 21% rye. Bottled at 94 proof (47% ABV).

Series II is a balanced blend of signature Bourbons from 2007 and 2008: 15% of 2007 Bourbon made with 21% rye, 50% of 2008 Bourbon made with 21% rye, 10% of 2007 Bourbon made with 36% rye, and 25% of 2008 Bourbon with 36% rye. Bottled at 100 proof (50% ABV).

Series III is a contagious concoction of signature Bourbons from 2007 and 2008: 12% of 2007 Bourbon made with 21% rye, 78% of 2008 Bourbon made with 21% rye, and 10% of 2008 Bourbon made with 36% rye. Bottled at 100 proof (50% ABV).

Series IV combines two signature Bourbons distilled in 2008: 77% is Bourbon with 21% rye in the mash, the rest is Bourbon made from 36% rye. Bottled at 100 proof (50% ABV).

It is the perfect gift and it is among the rarest offerings George Remus Bourbon has to offer and is the perfect gift for yourself or that passionate Spirits collector in your life.

Bourbon was declared "The Official Spirit of America" by an Act of Congress signed by President Lyndon Johnson in 1964.
At any given time, there are more barrels of Bourbon in Kentucky than there are people. The population of the Bluegrass State is about 4.4 million. Today there are more than 5 million barrels of Bourbon sitting in the rick-houses of that Old Kentucky Home. That’s nearly 300 bottles of Bourbon per person, or about 60 gallons each.

Yellowstone Bourbon has had several owners throughout its history, including J.B. Dant, D.H. Taylor, The Glenmore Distillery, United Distillers & Vintners, the David Sherman Company, Heaven Hill, and David Sherman (now known as Luxco).

Straight Bourbon must be matured for at least 2 years. If a bottle has no age statement, it’s at least 4 years old.
Bourbons are very high in vanilla, as American White Oak is naturally high in vanillins.
Bourbons have very prominent notes of vanilla, as American White Oak is naturally high in vanillins.
